Updated (6/14/20) – Correction to this article
Though the flow of the BLM donations, in my article, is documented, to ensure no confusion I am submitting this correction. These donations to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation website go to that organization, which is fiscally sponsored by the nonprofit organization Thousand Currents. (Donations to BLM do not go to the Democratic National Committee or Democratic candidates.)
Additional (Correction 6/16/20)
According to FactCheck.org, “Donations to Black Lives Matter Group Don’t Go to DNC,” the donations are made through ActBlue, an online platform used by campaigns and groups to solicit and collect donations. The donations go to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, which is fiscally sponsored by the nonprofit Thousand Currents. The nonprofit organization provides fiduciary oversight, financial management and other services to Black Lives Matter.

Original article:
As the BLM protests start to wind down a bit, I am looking at how the dust & money is settling around the communities affected. As with most SJW uprisings, the emotions created by the groups, call to action, typically result in a large amount of progressive, especially white shamed Americans’ donations, who generously contribute to the current cause.
The question is, will the funds actually reach the intended target?
To start with, who is Black Lives Matter?
According to their website, they are an international group working to help black communities eradicate racism.
“#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.”
Sounds straight forward so they direct you to donate to their cause
When you click on the “Donate” button on blacklivesmatter.com you are sent to an “ActBlue” donations page
According to the fine print, ActBlue is in compliance with all campaign finance laws:

When you research the efforts of the ActBlue PAC, almost all of their contributions are directly going to top DNC campaigns:
Some of the main BLM activist leaders are now asking about the money, on Twitter
Again: please stop giving money to BlackLivesMatter Network.
By their own admission they have no staff and no infrastructure.
in 6 years they've not produced a single community program, sponsored a single piece of legislation or financially supported a single chapter. https://t.co/E1CW3lLiyb

Multiple people people have been asking this. I trust my local but I haven't seen compelling money trail from National.

Some of the city chapters are even changing their names to remove any affiliation with the BLM leadership.

Eventually, someone on the BLM side must figure out how to accomplish their goals, helping the black communities, and not allowing crooked people to send the hard-earned donated funds they received to corrupt politicians who do nothing for their communities.
