Presidential campaigns are a mixture of speeches, fundraising, and until COVID-19, kissing babies and shaking hands. What is unique about the 2020 race, is Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee has been moved to his basement after a series of disastrous events. From the stammering speech, face mask hanging on his ear, walking away from live videos etc., it is apparent the former VP has more issues than the natural effects from aging. On top of his apparent health issues, there are ongoing investigations into his dealing with China & Ukraine, apparent quid pro quo demands, to gain business contracts and legal protection for his son Hunter, as Vice President. Lastly, there are recent allegations of sexual misconduct from past staffers.
At almost 80 years of age, Joe Biden would be the oldest person ever elected to the first term as President. It is unknown to the general public if he wants the job as President or has been nudged, by his wife and other handlers, to pursue the office which there backing and cover fire for his frequent gaffs.
Former President Ronald Reagan was showing the effects of Alzheimer’s during his second term but was, for the most part, able to conduct all the same functions without huge apparent misspeaks. Joe on the other is not getting away with them as the nation sees and believes he has issues.

The Zogby Poll®: A majority of voters believe Biden is in the early stages of dementia; 60% of younger voters think so; Swing voters less likely to think Biden has dementia.
A majority (55%) of likely voters surveyed thought it was more likely (much more and somewhat more likely combined) that Vice President Biden is in the early stages of dementia, while 45% thought it was less likely (much less and somewhat less likely combined). Overall, subgroups who normally approve of Trump’s job as president were the most likely to believe Biden could be suffering from dementia.
Thus, majorities of Republicans (77% more likely/23% less likely) and Independents (56% more likely/44% less likely) thought Joe Biden had early-onset dementia; while nearly a third of Democrats (32% more likely/68% less likely) thought this was the case.

Top Joe Biden surrogate Terry McAuliffe told a videoconference meeting of Virginia Democrats over the weekend that the former vice president should remain in his basement — where he has famously campaigned remotely during the coronavirus pandemic — and that Democratic officials are broadly “preferring” that Biden stay out of the limelight.
Fox News has obtained a video of McAuliffe’s Norfolk comments, which came after Biden has made a series of gaffes in his already-limited public appearances as he social distanced from home — including by declaring that African-Americans who support President Trump “ain’t black.”

“People say all the time, ‘Oh, we got to get the vice president out of the basement,'” McAuliffe told the “monthly breakfast” of the Norfolk City Democratic Committee. “He’s fine in the basement. Two people see him a day: his two body people. That’s it. Let Trump keep doing what Trump’s doing.”
