All events in life, from relationships, athletics, wars, and even nations President’s decisions, can be picked apart by those who are bent on destroying their legacies, using today’s moral relativism. With a growing number of students graduating from public schools and universities, without having a balanced view of history, it is not surprising to see statues of abolitionists torn down, sports teams, products, events, etc, changing their names/packaging and now watching the demands to have even President Lincoln removed from the public square.
The challenge is when these, hyper-emotional, some with arrested development, social Marxists, frantically work to erase our US history, it is difficult to keep up and stop their efforts because unlike a large number of them, we are at work, at least when their liberal Governors “let us”.
This brings us to the University Of Wisconsin at Madison, where a group of students is demanding a statue of President Abraham Lincoln, who issued the Emancipation Proclamation, pushed the 13th Amendment through ending slavery, and lead the North to victory in the Civil War, be taken down. Their claim is even though he ended slavery, which got him assassinated, that he actually was a racist. Absurd of course, but when they are ignorant of the facts, not surprising.
From Daily Caller
Some students at the University of Wisconsin are demanding a statue on the campus of former President Abraham Lincoln be taken down.
Nalah McWhorter, the president of the Wisconsin Black Student Union said that just because Lincoln opposed slavery, doesn’t mean he supported equal rights for African Americans.
“He was very publicly anti-Black,” she said, according to Channel 3000. “Just because he was anti-slavery doesn’t mean he was pro-Black. He said a lot in his presidential campaigns. His fourth presidential campaign speech, he said that he believes there should be an inferior and superior, and he believes white people should be the superior race.”

University Chancellor Becky Blank said she believes the statue of Lincoln should remain on campus.
“The university continues to support the Abraham Lincoln statue on our campus. Like those of all presidents, Lincoln’s legacy is complex and contains actions which, 150 years later, appear flawed,” Blank said in a statement. “However, when the totality of his tenure is considered, Lincoln is widely acknowledged as one of our greatest presidents, having issued the Emancipation Proclamation, persuaded Congress to adopt the 13th Amendment ending slavery and perserved the Union during the Civil War.”
Statues of historical figures have been targeted in some protests that have occurred over the past month, in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. Some protesters have vowed to take down Washington DC’s Emancipation Memorial statue, which depicts Lincoln freeing a slave. Democratic Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Metropolitan Police Department have declined to state whether or not they will protect the statue.
Yes, you heard that right, they want to take down the statue which depicts Lincoln freeing a slave. They don’t know why, except their feeling are hurt, from a mico-aggression, and they want their way, and they want it now, Waa Waa! We the adults in the room must take a stand and gain back control of our cities, if not violence and vandalism will persist until they have silenced those of us who still cared.
