As the news was breaking Friday night announcing the death of the late – Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg; political pundits, politicians and millions of interested Americans jumped into the fray of combat debate.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer ran onto the Senate floor insisting that the “next” President should choose Ginsburg’s successor, some emotionalists insisted because her alleged last desire was to not have her replacement chosen was after the inauguration, obviously assuming it would be for Joe Biden, and most on the left just because they were flipping mad.
Now for those who actually believe the government should continue to function normally regardless if a SCOTUS Justice dies, they were offering reasons why the next justice should and could be on the court before the November 3rd elections.
One of the tweets pointed out how quickly is has been done in the past.
Other’s like Sentor Ted Cruz quikcly laid out those on Fox News why is is crucial to have a full court of 9 justices before th elections.
On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Senate Judiciary Committee member Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) stated that President Donald Trump should nominate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s successor next week and that the Senate should confirm a successor before the election.
Cruz argued that Democrats plan to challenge the 2020 election, and having a 4-4 court would “risk a constitutional crisis” given that likelihood.
There’s going to be enormous pressure from Democrats to delay filling this vacancy. But this election — this nomination is why Donald Trump was elected. This confirmation is why the voters voted for a Republican majority in the Senate.
And I’ll tell you one reason, in particular, Sean, why I think it is tremendously important that not only does the nomination happen next week, but that the confirmation happens before Election Day:
Because Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear, they intend to challenge this election, they intend to fight the legitimacy of the election. … And we cannot have Election Day come and go with a 4-4 court.
A 4-4 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything, and I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of contested litigation — and a contested election.”
As one who live through the 1980’s fiasco of the Bush/Gore election, which once eventually decided by the Supreme Court, and may have never been resolved, a 4-4 court now, assuming Roberts doesn’t go rogue, could leave the almost expected contested 2020 elections with no final arbiter, then what?

I pray our President will fill the seat of the Supreme Court Justices as quickly as possible our country is depending on him for the fight we have ahead of us for this country and we need all seats filled and ready for what the Democrats are going to try and take the presidency away from him
