What started out as an opportunity for snowflakes to set up a progressive compound and play SJW activists, will start winding down as an abject failure tonight. In the short few weeks it existed, it managed to confirm, to even the most hardened liberal, that this would not lead to the “Summer Of Love”.
Instead, we saw murders, racism, drug use, mental illness, fighting, shooting, harassing of local residents and businesses, and preventing police & medical care from entering the compound to assist shot and sick people.
What finally exceeded the Mayor’s absurd tolerance for this occupation of 6 blocks of Seattle, was the two recent shootings, one of which was deadly, leading the Mayor to announced Monday that this chapter in the city’s history could be drawing to a close.
Here is the video from tonight’s press conference.

From Fox New
The mayor said the violence was distracting from changes sought by thousands of peaceful protesters seeking to address racial inequity and police brutality. Activists set up “CHOP” in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood about two weeks ago, barricading off the area after police evacuated a ransacked precinct building there.
“The cumulative impacts of the gatherings and protests and the nighttime atmosphere and violence has led to increasingly difficult circumstances for our businesses and residents,” Durkan said at a news conference. “The impacts have increased and the safety has decreased.”
City leaders have faced mounting criticism — including from President Trump — over the protest zone amid reports of violence inside the area and how police can respond to such incidents. Police had not been able to go inside the zone. The dismantling of the CHOP followed the death of a 19-year-old man in a Saturday shooting in which another person was injured.
On Sunday, a 17-year-old was shot in the arm on the edge of the area.

Too little too late, the co-mingling of BLM with snowflakes was destined to fail. No group can function longer-term with law and order, which is absent in both of these groups. Its sad people were killed and local residents and businesses were subjected to harassment, violence, and prevented easy access to their properties. In most cities, they would learn from this, but this is Seattle, not betting on it.
