Three teenagers were arrested after fleeing from cops and hopping a sea wall into Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s personal resort.
So what exactly happened?
Around midnight last Friday police approached a silver Hyundai with the three teenagers inside. The car immediately fled, leading the police on a vehicular pursuit that ended up outside Mar-a-Lago. Once the teens stopped they fled on foot and jumped over the sea wall and into the club’s grounds.
Police say a helicopter and k-9 unit assisted in locating the rebel trio.
Mar-a-Lago security found a backpack where the teens hopped the wall and inside the backpack was a Mini Draco 7.62 caliber AK-47 with a 14-round magazine.
The teens say the firearm was not theirs but that they had found it.
Michael Ogrodnick, the Palm Beach Police Department spokesperson, said the teens had no idea where they were. This is consistent with the teens’ claims that while they admit they were evading police, it was mere coincidence that they hopped a wall leading to Mar-a-Lago.

According to the Miami Harold, there have been several attempts to unlawfully gain access to Mar-a-Lago since Trump became president in 2016. Although it does appear in this case that the teens genuinely did not know where they were going.
According to police, the teens are being charged with trespassing with a firearm, burglary with a firearm, and resisting arrest without violence.
Prosecutors are deliberating whether they should charge the teens as adults.
