CNN host Don Lemon is not accepting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s salon story, and he’s not hiding it.
Pelosi came under fire this week after video footage showed the congresswoman in a hair salon with wet hair and no mask. California does not allow indoor hairstyling in its current phase.
Pelosi told reporters that she “takes responsibility” not for her actions of breaking the rules, but for listening to the hair salon staff who allegedly told her that one person is allowed inside at a time. Pelosi indicated that this was a “setup.”
Lemon responded to her comments by saying that everyone should know the rules this far into a pandemic.
“This far into the pandemic this House Speaker should know what is safe and what isn’t,” Lemon said. “We should all know. It’s our responsibility.”
The liberal anchor continued, “Instead of claiming a setup, it would have been just as easy for the speaker to say, ‘You know what, I messed up. I should have worn a mask indoors.'”
In an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, salon owner Erica Kious said Pelosi’s visit was a “slap in the face” to her.
“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work.”
Kious added:
“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right? It is just disturbing.”

The salon was closed to all clients. Pelosi used her status to go around the rules and to have the closed salon opened just for her own use. If the salon can do this for her then it should be open for everyone’s use.

Easy. She used her influence and cloudt to get the hairdresser to open “just for her.” (Probably paid him a bundle.)
She was getting her hair done outside and decided to go inside. She followed an employee right in, knowing it was not legal, and then doubled up by not wearing a mask.
Reopen all businesses, it’s over and we know know it.

So the salon owners and stylists are suffering and all on the brink of closing down because people like Pelosi and Newsom have said it’s unsafe and hair stylists can only work outside and the only thing allowed outside is a haircut, can’t even wash their hair or do any chemical service…. but it’s ok for her to have her hair done inside In the AC and clean salon environment like stylists have been begging to do for months. I don’t think you understand how many salons have permanently closed bc of what they have done yet the powerful politicians and actors/actresses etc are ALL getting their hair done while hair stylists all over California can’t feed their families bc they are receiving 200 per week and some can’t even get any unemployment!

She risked her license and her salon license for a customer AND TO ADD Nancy the 3rd on line to the “throne” so to speak whom thinks she get special treatment. To clarify, this was not the job of the salon owner. She rents chairs out to other hairdressers, one who sought to break the rules and allow Queen Nancy entrance – illegally. The owner had no knowledge this was being done.
I’m sorry but if salons are not supposed to be open for indoor appointments in California, why was the salon even open. Technically they should have not have accepted an appointment no matter who it was for. The onus should be on them.

The person who rents a chair there let her in and preformed services and notified owner she had done so. Owner then went and looked at tapes. She did not approve the breaking of rules and she was sharing her disapproval. Nancy as Lemon says is familiar with the rules she called and asked for an appointment despite that fact. That is working from privilege. She asked for appointment they did not call and offer one. So no set up. The person who rents the chair and allowed it is also at fault but it is not a set up!

So, if the Speaker of the House called your business, which was closed because all were, you wouldn’t have made an exception because of who she was? You would have just said, “I’m sorry, our business is closed just like required by law. You should know that.” You really would have done that and not take the opportunity presented to you? I live in Alabama our Salons are open and if you want service you MUST wear a mask regardless of who you are, even while you hair is being shampooed !

I do believe that the salon owner HAD pressure on her from Pelosi too allow her to come in for weekly ? Appointments. The owner was just getting sick of this privileged bitch. Her business was going under and she has nothing to lose by reporting it.
Salon owner made it known. The person taking appointment merely rented a station in her salon. It is on Nancy and the station renter, not the owner of salon.

Pelosi did not call anyone. She had her assistant call the stylist who was renting space in the salon not the owner. Since this salon is in her district I would think that she knows the rules and therefore knowingly broke them. To make matters worse she did not wear a mask in the salon and is now saying the owner set her up. The owner has clearly stated that she had the security system with cameras installed 5 years ago. If Nancy has been to this salon “many times’ as she has said then she would have known about the security system. In knowing that how exactly was this a set up?
