The California Senate and Assembly are considering numerous odd sex-related pieces of legislation in the last week of the 2020 legislative session, and it is a perfect example of why people need to get out to vote for their representatives for even the most local government positions.
The Progressive movement has been very bold and powerful in local governments since May, with the death of George Floyd giving way to domestic uprisings and successful measures to reform bail and defend police departments,
Local city councils is where local government can really assert their power.
Another topic where local governments get to push for Progressive measures is with the LGBTQ policy demands, because of the special protections in that group allows progressive to exploit their concern for dystopian measures, and such is the case in California with their push for the following new policies:
- AB 2218: A bill that would fund sterilizing drugs and surgeries for children and adults with gender dysphoria.
WHAT CA REPUBLICANS SAY ABOUT THIS BILL: “For the sake of these children and adults who are being victimized by our culture’s distorted sexual devolution, I’ll say exactly what this bill supports: gender mutilation and sterilization. Proponents of this bill will deny the truth — in fact, they already have. They insist that since the bill doesn’t use the word ‘sterilization,’ there is no harm and no foul.”
2) SB-132: Another that gives male inmates the legal right to live in women’s prisons and requires guards to use language confirming gender identities such as “transsexual, non-binary, two-spirit and māhū.”
WHAT CA REPUBLICANS SAY ABOUT THIS BILL: This bill, authored by Senator Scott Wiener (D – San Francisco), would allow any incarcerated male to claim that he has a feminine “gender identity” and give them a legal right to be housed at a women’s facility. Correctional facility staff, contractors and volunteers would be forced to use language pretending that inmates are the gender they identify as, including but not limited to the following gender identities: “Neither exclusively male nor female or is in between or beyond both of those genders, including, but not limited to, gender fluid, agender or without gender, third gender, genderqueer, gender variant, and gender-nonconforming.” It also includes genders such as “transsexual,” “two-spirit,” “māhū,” “Nonbinary,” and “intersex.”
3) SB 145: And a third that lowers the penalties for adults who have sex will same-sex minors.
WHAT CA REPUBLICANS SAY ABOUT THIS BILL: “SB 145 would allow a sex offender who lures a minor with the intent to commit a felony (i.e. a sex act) the ability to escape registering as a sex offender as long as the offender is within 10 years of age of the minor. No specification is made as to whether the sexual offender is straight or LGBT.”
