The state of California is the most advanced leftist utopia in the country as far as government institutionalized Marxism, illegal immigrants, and “back room dealing” politicians, which the media tell us is highly favorable with the American people.  California also has a highly preferred climate and is a wealthy state full of the tourism industry and natural resources, so it is surprising when people flee, but they are.

“California state officials disclosed Friday that its population dropped in 2020 for the first time in the state’s recorded history. The decline was attributed to a combination of COVID-19 deaths, a decreasing birth rate, and a reduction in immigration,” reports National Review.

California could be such a great state, but why are people giving up on it?

Not even immigrants want to live in California. Here is a great video on where people are moving to.

The state’s Department of Finance released data showing the population decreased by 182,083 people. The news comes just a week after the U.S. Census Bureau announced both California and New York would be losing a congressional seat.

From January of 2020 to January 2021, the population decreased by .46%, leaving the state with just under 39.5 million people. This marks the “first year-over-year loss ever recorded for the nation’s most populous state,” reports California’s local ABC 7.

State officials say part of their population decline is due to a reduction of international immigration as a direct impact of the Trump administration halting issuing new visas for much of 2020.

Other contributing numbers include roughly 51,000 Californians who reportedly died from coronavirus, and traveling restrictions made it so about 53,000 international students could not come to the state.

So apparently, in the 175-year history of the state, people didn’t die.

Liam Dillion, a reporter for the LA Times, posted a graph to explain his findings.

Who’s moving out of California? Poor and middle-class people with less education. Who’s moving into California? Wealthy people with more education.

SO MUCH FOR THE AGRICULTURE CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY

According to the Public Policy Department of California:

The 2020 census results are in: California experienced its slowest growth rates ever during the 2010s. This slowdown was enough to cause an unprecedented loss of a seat in the House of Representatives. But it is part of a decades-long trend, the consequence of fewer births, more deaths, a slowing of international migration, and—capturing a great deal of attention—a large migration out of California to other states.

Much has been made of the California exodus, and rightly so. This migration, over the decades, has the power to reshape the state. During the 2010s, about 6.1 million people moved from California to other states, while only 4.9 million people moved to California from other parts of the country.

People who move to California are different from those who move out. In general, those who move here are more likely to be working age, be employed, and earn high wages and are less likely to be in poverty than those who move away.

Those who move to California also tend to have higher education levels than those who move out—an especially important factor given the state’s strong need for college graduates. Notably, this gain in educated residents is concentrated among young college graduates (generally, adults in their 20s) looking for opportunities as they start their careers.

In the end, the reasons don’t really matter; what does matter is finally, the United States of America may be able to break the stranglehold CA has on Federal elections as they lose electoral votes.

People leave California because you can’t raise a family here on a solid middle class income in a proper home. Also, any human being with language abilities, can learn to write. Writers are not like carpenters So this idiot who wrote this did so with no talent for shit money to sell you under the river. Enjoy your democrats please. My life is set up by me working hard at it, and I’m done trying to tell you things.

I’m sorry about those stats on who is leaving California are wrong. All i know were professional folks and small business owners. many left after the 6 years fires. but the restrictive laws and vehicle costs are also reasons. And most importantly-a tax rate at over 46 cents on the dollar plus levies and fees. This began before Biden came to office and started about the same time as the failed recall effort -the first go around. We would leave but but so many have proceeded us to areas we considered-those who left have driven property pricing up by their move out. Leaving many of us who want to leave -with few options.
