In a weird way- the pandemic was a blessing because it forced people to really examine politicians and the institutions that politics are accustomed to running with a narrow base of the Marxist left.
Boating and Homeschooling are natural fits for Conservatives- Getting out of public education and getting away from the left.
Consider this: The recreational boating industry has grown tremendously since the beginning of the pandemic, and is expected to continue growing at an ~11% CAGR to a total $63.53B in 2026.
According to reports, This growth should be supported by a record amount of first-time boat buyers, which totaled 415,000 in 2020. This new demographic of boaters in the market is encouraging for the future growth of the industry, especially considering most are young.
“There is no question people are looking to get on the water. They’re looking to have fun with their families,” said John Conrad, Sales Manager, Elk Rapids Marina.
“The biggest part of boating is probably the memories that you make with your friends and family out on the water. Who isn’t looking to spend more time with their family right now?” Conrad said.
Census.gov reported on the increase of Homeschooling:
“Homeschooling is a legal instructional option in all 50 states and national homeschooling rates grew rapidly from 1999 to 2012 but had since remained steady at around 3.3%.
However, the global COVID-19 pandemic has sparked new interest in homeschooling and the appeal of alternative school arrangements has suddenly exploded.”

According to Boomer Jousma of Italian Yacht Group, a top producing yacht broker, the yacht trend is running bullish as more and more of his clients are choosing to buy bigger and better yachts.
