Dr. Naomi Wolf is concerned about the actions being taken in the home of the Salem Witch Trials, where out of control lawmakers are legislating the theft of privacy rights from all people in that area who want to eat out at restaurants.
“Just walked into a restaurant in Salem MA and was asked to scan my phone on entry for Track and Trace. The restaurant faces $300 fine for not making me. I said No, Fourth Amendment. Pure data harvesting for Big Tech (who no doubt has MA contract) to monetize, plus geolocation. Evil,” Wolf wrote on Twitter.
Wolf is an intriguing character, she is a radical far-left Democrat and leading feminist with experience working for Bill Clinton, who is also embattled by the left for defending her classic liberal point of view.
Here, in a series of posts, Wolf is questioning the power grab by lawmakers in Salem MA.
“Those new demands re geolocation of customers on restaurants plus demands to make customers order food w drink (how does this help re pandemic?) are all part of conditioning. Constantly revising upward state intrusions and control til you are grateful for crumbs of autonomy,” Wolf wrote in reaction to a press statement from the city of Salem MA that had been taped to a restaurant door.

WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
This is not new territory. Wolf is right to alert Americans to the dangers of releasing private phone data under emergency powers.
Consider that around the world people are reporting that the government taking their phone data is not working out well for them.
