After a week of taunting President Donald J. Trump about not accepting Federal help to clean up wonton crime sprees in her capital city Chicago, a radical left mayor has relented, because she now understands she will “receive resources” as if she didn’t understand that all this past time.
Even though more people got shot in Chicago last weekend than the Federal authorities have arrested in Portland in 2 months, Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot has persisted in going to the public to taunt Trump about the motivations for the presence of Federal law enforcement:
Mr. President or not—I don’t care one bit what your name is. I will not allow troops in Chicago, and I will do everything in my power to stop you. pic.twitter.com/jL5TFgPPKZ

If you allowed the dedicated men & women of the Chicago Police Dept to do their jobs, the feds wouldn't have to threaten action. But you refuse to allow CPD officers to do their jobs & instead continue to make excuses for the riots, violence & looting. You've failed #Twill #ILSen

Conservative Republican candidate for Illinois Senator, Mark Curran responded saying, “If you [ Lori Lightfoot] allowed the dedicated men and women of the Chicago Police Department to do their jobs, the feds wouldn’t have to threaten action. But you refuse to allow CPD officers to do their jobs and instead continue to make excuses for the riots, violence, and looting. You failed.”
Footage from Monday shows violent attacks on the police in Chicago.
“We cannot be a city that thinks mob action of a crowd is acceptable behavior.” -Superintendent @ChiefDavidBrown
49 officers were injured by fireworks & other projectiles during the violent mob action at Grant Park on Friday.

Tuesday, John Catanzara, the president of the Illinois Fraternal Order of the Police, described the conflicts between himself and far left radical Lightfoot, and claimed on Fox that she has a “Napoleon complex” and sharply spurns those who disagree with her.

Catanzara had just days earlier asked for Federal help.
Chicago FOP President John Catanzara Jr. has issued a letter to President Trump, asking for help from the federal government to fight “chaos” in Chicago and calling Mayor Lori Lightfoot a “complete failure.” https://t.co/iYbJDeLTGk

“She is literally running the Titanic into an iceberg intentionally,” he said. “Fifty-six rounds fired [during Tuesday evening’s incident] and people shot tonight at a funeral where there was police’s special attention because of the gang victim that was already being waked at the funeral home,” Catanzara said Tuesday.
The Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday, “The unfolding situation in Chicago “at this point” won’t resemble the situation playing out in Portland, Oregon, where unidentified federal agents wearing camouflage uniforms have been denounced by local leaders for their actions, Lightfoot said at an unrelated news conference.
Instead, Lightfoot said she expects Chicago will receive resources that will plug into existing federal agencies that already work with the city, including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.”
This law enforcement chaos unfolds in Chicago positive economic gains are reported for the embattled city.
According to Market Watch:
“The Chicago Fed’s national activity index rose to a record high of 4.11 in June from the prior record of 3.5 hit in the prior month. The index has been extremely volatile – falling to a record-low negative 17.89 in April. The index’s three-month moving average, which tries to smooth this volatility, moved up to a negative 3.49 in June from a negative 6.36 in the prior month.
What happened: The Chicago Fed index is a weighted average of 85 economic indicators. Fifty-four indicators made positive contributions in June while 31 were negative,” Market Watch reported.
More positive signs for the great American comeback! ???

By Late Wed. Morning there were reports of shifting plans for law enforcement.
Just in: White House pulls back plan to send 150 federal
agents to #Chicago. Instead the feds will "loan" Chicago-based FBI, DEA, ATF to help fight crime, as needed.
Justice Dept. also plans to do same in #Albuquerque. POTUS to make this official at 4p event. – @johnrobertsFox
