California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday proposed $12 billion in new funding to get more homeless people in the state into housing and to “functionally end family homelessness” within five years, he claims.
Newsome faces a historic recall effort that yielded more interest in replacing him than anyone was expecting.
I wrote about the recall for The Gateway Pundit, about Newsome, the nephew of Democrat Nancy Pelosi:
“A dire hard Republican activist, Susan Walsh, has been with the movement to recall Gavin Newsom from the very beginning and reported on some recent data in the historically successful effort to remove a very well connected sitting Democrat Governor.”
The Democrat agenda for California is so unpopular it is a disaster.
Due to that Democrat agenda and those policies, the increased cost of living in California has devastated many Americans. At the same time number of jobs has decreased in the state, creating a dramatic homeless situation because of the unsustainable costs.
…other utilities have also significantly increased. I am concerned about being priced out of being able to live on my own or being homeless. – Joshua, El Cerrito @NancySkinnerCA @AsmPhilTing @CAgovernor Thank you for your meaningful #CABudget proposals. Let's finish the job!

Christol Hayes reported on the situation for USA Today:
“Tent-lined streets with belongings scattered everywhere. Infected wounds with bugs living inside. A man who hasn’t showered in over a decade. An 80-year-old woman who can’t feed herself. People who ride the metro rail lines because the trains are a safer place to sleep.”
Almost as if it is a campaign promise, Democrat Governor Gavid Newsome is proposing a massive shift in financing to build housing for the state to support and fund, to try to clean up the mess of homelessness in the state without addressing any of the disastrous leftist policies that have caused the disaster in the first place.
The number of homeless people in California, with the access that third world countries have to the open borders of the United States, is growing. Still, it is also unclear who is living on the streets and if any of them could be illegal immigrants, who Newsome’s policies would cover, giving free housing to people who are in the country illegally.
Mutual Housing CA considers all of the homeless people in California to be Californians. A permanent and long-term solution might end up with Americans paying homeless individuals for their entire lives.
161,000+ of our fellow Californians are experiencing homelessness at any point in time. We need an immediate AND long-term solution, @GavinNewsom. We’re grateful you’ve made this a priority, we urge you to adopt the Legislature’s $1 billion in ongoing funding. pic.twitter.com/b4CK5Z3CLT

Because the American people are charitable and good people, for the most part, there are many free resources in the country available from many of the publically funded institutions. Yet, there is little oversight about the legality of charging the American people for resources, especially when the resources they paid for are diverted away from what the American people are paying for.
WHEN POLICE ARE USED TO DELIVER CHARITY
“Today, our Research & Development team is participating in the HomeAid Essentials Builders for Babies to support families experiencing homelessness in Southern California. They created an OCSD Humvee that was equipped with lights and doors that opened,” Orange County Sheriff’s office reported.
The structure was filled with diaper boxes to bring awareness to the growing need families have for diapers, wipes and other essential baby items.

It is unclear how Newsome believes taking more resources from the people who have any left to purchases resources and fund assistance for the world’s homeless population will really help the state of California.
