The Democrats, who can not see to stop obsessing that everything everyone else is doing is “racist”, have exposed themselves on social media this month as being perfectly comfortable with other Democrat’s racist messaging in public. Their recent target Senator Tim Scott, a Republican Black American.
“I had hoped that Scott might show some common sense, but it seems clear he is little more than an oreo with no real principles,” Lamar County Democratic Party chair Gary O’Connor wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post, referring to Scott’s rebuttal to President Biden’s Congressional address on Wednesday.
According to an article in FOX news:
Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas — whose district includes Lamar County located in Northeast Texas — eviscerated O’Connor for his comment on Friday. In a press release, Fallon called the slur — which refers to a Black person who is perceived as acting White — “unforgivable.”
I wrote about how the Democrats attacked Scott on social media, which Twitter put in trending news, calling Scott another racial slur, an “Unlce Tom” for daring to side with his party, the Republicans after Democrat Joe Bidens speech in front of Congress last week:
Even left-leaning Newsweek reported on the incident and reminded their readers that it is -in fact- a slur to call a Black man an “Oreo”:
“The term “oreo” is sometimes used as a disparaging and offensive slur for a “Black person who is regarded as having adopted the attitudes, values, and behavior thought to be characteristic of middle-class white society, often at the expense of their own heritage,” according to Dictionary.com,” Newsweek reported,
Of course, Newsweek used “sometimes,” hinting that they may believe that Scott deserved to be attacked in such a way because he is a Republican.
REPUBLICANS ASK WHERE THE NAACP IS?
Fallon called for O’Connor to resign over his “abhorrent, insulting and unforgivable” remarks.
“Gary O’Connor’s comment against Senator Tim Scott is abhorrent, insulting, and unforgivable. Both he and the entire Lamar County Democratic Party should be ashamed of this racist behavior,” Fallon said in a statement. “O’Connor must apologize and step down immediately.
He added: “Additionally, I call on both the Democratic Party of Texas and the NAACP to condemn these words, and the state party should take swift action to censure him. This kind of behavior is not tolerable in Texas, the United States, or any political party.”
Reaction to the story was swift and aimed at the media, who just ignored the slight to Scott:
“Can we talk about how absurd it is that a Democrat called Tim Scott an “oreo” and the national press aren’t even mentioning it, but when some random college student makes an OK sign, it becomes a 48-hour news cycle?” one poster on Twitter wrote.
NOTABLE REPUBLICANS CHIMED IN
It will be interesting to see if the national press covers this story about a Texas Democratic Party chairman who called US Senator Tim Scott an “Oreo”. Or does the MSM look the other way when racist terms are hurled against a Republican? https://t.co/gGBY8PZCi7
