The last few days while Americans were concentrating on Christmas, our civil servants appear to have been concentrating on serving foreign masters who are focused upon carrying out orders from China to re-engage with Iran in the ways the Barack Obama and Joe Biden did in the past, erasing the work that Donald J. Trump did to detangle America from Iran.
It is unknown how many American voters went to the polls to vote for Joe Biden with the idea of transforming the Presidency from addressing concerns of Americans, to being nothing more than an extension of China and Iran, but that is what, in fact, they are going to get.
THE DEMAND CAME DOWN FROM CHINA
Monday Legal Insurrection reported:
“Communist China on Monday demanded the United States to return to the Iran nuclear deal and end all sanctions placed on Tehran under President Donald Trump’s watch once Joe Biden moves into the White House.
“The US shall return to the Iran nuclear deal as soon as possible and without any preconditions, and the US should also scrap all sanctions imposed on Iran, other third-party entities and individuals,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a video conference with other four signatories of the 2015 nuclear accord.
The Chinese foreign minister’s undiplomatic and stern tone underlines China’s belief in a ‘reset‘ in bilateral relations with a Biden-run administration. According to Chinese media reports, Beijing opened backchannel talks with figures close to the Biden team last month and wants a rollback on the tough policy course pursued by President Donald Trump.
The Hong Kong newspaper South China Morning Post reported the Chinese foreign minister’s remarks:
China called on the United States on Monday to return to the Iran nuclear deal without conditions and to lift all US sanctions against Iran and related entities.
“The US shall return to the Iran nuclear deal as soon as possible and without any preconditions, and the US should also scrap all sanctions imposed on Iran, other third-party entities and individuals,” said Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during a video conference hosted by the European Union and attended by foreign ministers from Russia, Iran, Britain, France, and Germany – the other signatories to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) that US President Donald Trump exited in 2018.”
US REPS IN LOCKSTEP:
Early Christmas Eve morning, Wednesday, the Times of Isreal published an article titled, 150 House Democrats urge Biden to reenter Iran nuclear deal without conditions, and reported on a letter signed by lawmakers that “signals US president-elect has a congressional majority over any pushback against returning to 2015 pact that Trump administration pulled out of”.
From their article:
A letter backing President-elect Joe Biden’s plan to reenter the Iran nuclear deal without any new conditions has garnered 150 signatures from House Democrats — enough to prevent any congressional bid to block the move. Those groups want Biden to renegotiate the deal’s components, if not forge a new one, before rejoining the 2015 pact. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action relieved sanctions on Iran in exchange for restrictions, monitored by outside observers, on the country’s nuclear program.
The sentiments in the letter are in direct contradiction to the urgings of the Israel lobby group AIPAC, others in the center-right pro-Israel community, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The intended effect of the letter is to reassure Biden, who was vice president under President Barack Obama when the deal was negotiated by the United States and others, that he can rejoin the agreement without fear of pushback. The letter surpasses 146 names, the number needed to break the two-thirds majority that opponents of reentering the deal would need to override Biden’s veto of any legislation aimed at blocking reentry,”
Biden says he wants to renegotiate some components of the deal once the US is back in, including the dates when restrictions on Iran’s uranium enrichment lapse. He also wants to negotiate limits on Iran’s missile development and its adventurism in the region while addressing Iran’s concerns about the actions of American allies.
“We strongly endorse your call for Iran to return to strict compliance with the nuclear deal, the United States to rejoin the agreement, and subsequent follow-on negotiations,” says the letter, which concluded its signature-gathering phase on Wednesday and is set to be sent to Biden.
The letter, according to a news source said, “We strongly endorse your call for Iran to return to strict compliance with the nuclear deal, the United States to rejoin the agreement, and subsequent follow-on negotiations,” and it is being circulated by three Democrats who galvanized their colleagues to support the deal in 2015: Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, David Price of North Carolina and Barbara Lee of California.
Ironically, reports of the letter came on the same day that Donald J. Trump posted that Iran had hit the US Embassy in Baghdad:
Our embassy in Baghdad got hit Sunday by several rockets. Three rockets failed to launch. Guess where they were from, IRAN. Now we hear the chatter of additional attacks against Americans in Iraq……Some friendly health advice to Iran: If one American is killed, I will hold Iran responsible. Think it over.”

HITTING US WHEN WE ARE DOWN- FLASHBACK – IRAN AND THE LINCOLN PROJECT ARE INTERFERING IN OUR ELECTIONS
In October, The Federalist reported:
Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe and FBI Director Christopher Wray announced Wednesday that Iran and Russia are working to undermine the integrity of the 2020 election.
“We would like to alert the public that we have identified that two foreign actors, Iran and Russia, have taken specific actions to influence public opinion relating to our elections,” Ratcliffe said during an evening press conference, following efforts by the intelligence and law enforcement communities to ensure the election is safe and secure.
After the Wednesday press conference, the Lincoln Project deleted its recent tweet, which claimed, “The Proud Boys are attempting to scare voters away from the polls.”
IRAN ON TRIAL
Democrats ignore that while they are signing letters and supporting and defending Iran, Iranian terrorism is on trial. European Union leaders are also ignoring developments for those facing charges of terrorism for a Bomb plot in Paris, targeting Iranian resistance. There is much discussion on the funding of Iran’s terrorism.
I covered the first day of the trial here:
OBAMA ADMINISTRATION MENTIONED
And the world is watching while Obama’s name is brought up again. Iran received massive funding from Obama, while John Kerry accepted that the funding he took from US taxpayers would fund terrorism, and apparently, much of DC has not learned a lesson from these mistakes.
We have yet to clear up what role America played or plays in funding Iran’s global terrorism and endless wars.
The Democrats want Biden back in, doing more of the same with the Iranians, following the demands of the Chinese Communist Party, possibly funding global terrorism and enabling the Mullahs.
CRUZ STILL FIGTHING
However , there are some fighters left, and there is a major battle in the Halls of Congress in DC over Iran. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas wants Trump to keep fighting as well.
In a letter to Trump, Cruz wrote on Tuesday:
“Cruz has led the fight against the Obama-Biden Iran Nuclear Deal since it was first negotiated. Since the U.S. withdrawal, he has pushed for an end to oil waivers, an end to nuclear waivers, and for invoking the U.N. snapback mechanism to restore international sanctions on Iran. In September, Sen. Cruz applauded the Trump administration for enforcing snapback sanctions on Iran and finalizing the end of the Iran Nuclear Deal.
“These agreements could and should have been submitted as treaties given their sweeping scope and immense implications for American foreign and domestic policy. The Paris Agreement, for example, was lauded as the ‘most ambitious climate change agreement in history.’ The Iran Deal, meanwhile, was situated as ‘the most consequential foreign policy debate that our country has had since the invasion of Iraq.'”
He concluded, urging the Trump administration to submit both agreements to the Senate as formal treaties:
“Your administration has rightly changed course as a matter of substantive policy by withdrawing from both the Iran Deal and the Paris Agreement. This was a great accomplishment for the American people.
“I urge you now also to remedy the harm done to the balance of powers by submitting the Iran Deal and the Paris Agreement to the Senate as treaties. Only by submitting them to the Senate will the Senate be able to satisfy its constitutional role to provide advice and consent in the event any future administration attempts to revive these dangerous deals.”
