Rebel News reporter, Anna Saltz, traveled to the United States from Canada looking for a reaction on current events and made a video that showed dueling Trump/ Biden protests in Philadelphia and Portland right before the media “called” the 2020 Presidential election.
On Saturday the media declared that Democrat Joe Biden had won the 2020 Presidential Election and around the country were public showings of celebration by Biden supporters. Rebel News released the following video from their live reporting that shows numerous people questioning the results of the election, Saltz’s video captured some of those moments.
Slatz, said “I’ve had a crazy few days covering the post-election unrest in the U.S.
As you may know, last Wednesday, I flew down to Washington to report on the reaction to the delayed U.S. election results before jetting off to New York, where I witnessed the chaotic clash between an army of NYPD officers and a mix of Black Lives Matter and anti-Trump protesters.
My next stop was Philadelphia to cover the standoff between pro-Biden and pro-Trump supporters just outside where election ballots were still being counted. While I was there, I had a chance to speak with several folks in the pro-Trump area who claimed fraud was afoot in the erratic election results.
My final destination was Portland. Shortly before I landed, the mainstream media had announced that Joe Biden had won, sparking spontaneous celebrations in the streets.
But the celebrations didn’t last long as Antifa began taking over the city in the evening, clashing with riot police at the ICE detention centre close to midnight.”
The four days I spent in the United States following the November 3 election were filled with division and derision from anxious Americans.
I started my journey in Washington, D.C. and from there went to New York City, Philadelphia, and finally Portland.
In New York, I witnessed hundreds of NYPD swarm upon groups of angry protesters in an attempt to keep the peace. You can check out my previous report to watch more about what happened on the streets of New York on Thursday, but the next day I was off to Pennsylvania, where I attended the demonstrations outside of the Convention Center in Philadelphia where ballots were being counted.
There, I spoke to supporters who were holding a small, but secure line in front of the building in support of President Trump. I met Jeremy and Maria, two Trump voters who told me about their concerns about potential electoral fraud.
No rest for the wicked, I dashed off to Portland the very next day, where Antifa and more of the usual suspects had just descended upon the Capitol in Salem, Oregon. Biden was called by mainstream media as being the winner shortly after I stepped off the plane, but that didn’t stop demonstrators from gathering at Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square.
What started as a pro-Biden celebration rally in wake of the results quickly turned into an Antifa rally, where black-clad demonstrators armed with weapons began to make their presence known. That night, I met the group at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement centre where they held an impromptu anti-Trump and anti-ICE rally.
But ICE officers weren’t having it, rapidly rushing the crowd and making several arrests.
Take a look at my footage from Philadelphia and Portland, and let me know what you think! Do you think the riots and demonstrations the U.S. has seen over the past few months will continue now that Biden has been considered the winner?
