According to a press release from Sidney Powel’s group, Defending The Republic in Battle, located at 2911 Turtle Creek – Suite 300; Dallas, Texas 75219 (United States). And the headlines were impressive- even though the lapdog media was doing everything they could to bury the news from the American people.
NY Court dismisses Smartmatic’s 2.7 billion dollar lawsuit against Sidney Powell. The court held it had no jurisdiction over Ms. Powell. It also dismissed Smartmatic‘s suit against Fox host Jeanine Pirro.
Sidney said: “The Court correctly analyzed and followed the law. All of the cases filed against me and Defending the Republic should be dismissed. “
LAWFARE BY POLITICAL OPPONENTS GOES ON-HOWEVER
Google- and their media allies made sure that all of the news of Powell was negative- however, to keep everyone in the dark about the Smartmatic decision.
WASHINGTON, March 9 (Reuters) – Texas legal regulators have asked a judge to discipline attorney Sidney Powell for filing lawsuits they say were frivolous in support of former President Donald Trump’s false claims of election fraud.
The disciplinary action is a major development in what has become a nationwide effort to punish pro-Trump lawyers who tried to overturn the November 2020 presidential election result, but is not a final finding of wrongdoing.
A Texas state court judge will hear the complaint and decide whether to impose a sanction and what that might be.
In the complaint made public on Tuesday, the State Bar of Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline said Powell “had no reasonable basis” for filing lawsuits challenging President Joe Biden’s victories in key battleground states.
“Respondent (Powell) had no reasonable basis to believe the lawsuits she filed were not frivolous,” the complaint stated and called the suits a violation of a federal ethics rule requiring an attorney’s due diligence before asserting claims in court.
Everyone in the lapdog media was very excited to carry all of the details when Smarmatic filed their case.
Consider this story from CNBC-that was written with breathless anticipation.
- Voting software company Smartmatic on Thursday filed a $2.7 billion libel suit against Fox News, three Fox hosts, and the lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell over what the firm said are knowingly false claims about former President Donald Trump’s election loss.
- Smartmatic accused the defendants of “inventing a story” by deciding “to tell people that the election was stolen from President Trump and Vice President [Mike] Pence” by ballot fraud.
- “Without any true villain, Defendants invented one. Defendants decided to make Smartmatic the villain in their story,” the suit says.
Business Insider covered the dismissal for Powell and Pirro but didn’t find it interesting enough to lead with that information, clearly showing their bias for the Voting machine system company.
In his ruling on Tuesday, Judge David B. Cohen said that “plaintiffs have adequately pleaded that their claims against Fox News have a sufficient basis in law.” The company may also proceed with claims against Bartiromo and Dobbs.
However, he did dismiss all of Smartmatic’s claims against Pirro and Powell. Cohen also dismissed some defamation claims against Giuliani due to a legal technicality, but other claims against Giuliani were allowed to proceed.
“Even assuming that Fox News did not intentionally allow this false narrative to be broadcasted, there is a substantial basis for plaintiffs’ claim that, at a minimum, Fox News turned a blind eye to a litany of outrageous claims about plaintiffs unprecedented in the history of American elections, so inherently improbable that it evinced a reckless disregard for the truth,” Cohen wrote in the decision.
It was a very sad day for the media lapdogs today.
