Axios reported Tuesday that President Donald J. Trump has decided to give a presidential pardon to retired three-star General Mike Flynn.
From the Axios article:
President Trump has told confidants he plans to pardon his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in December 2017 to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts, two sources with direct knowledge of the discussions tell Axios.
Behind the scenes: Sources with direct knowledge of the discussions said Flynn will be part of a series of pardons that Trump issues between now and when he leaves office.
The big picture: Flynn’s pardon would be the culmination of a four-year political and legal saga that began with the FBI’s investigation into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russian government in the 2016 election.”
The government had dropped the case against Flynn, however far-left radical activist judge Emmet Sullivan had continued on prosecuting Flynn through a series of court appearances, refusing to allow the case to be dropped against Flynn.
“The wholly corrupt judge in the case, Judge Emmet Sullivan, has delayed Flynn’s right to a speedy trial and continues to abuse the General who the DOJ admitted was wrongfully prosecuted,” The Post Millennial wrote.
Gateway Pundit reported, “According to Axios, two sources confirmed that Gen. Flynn will be one in a series of pardons between now and January.”
The Post Millennial reported, “On January 22, 2017, Flynn was sworn in as the National Security Advisor. He then resigned shortly thereafter, when information surfaced that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence about the nature and content of his communications with Russian ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak. Flynn’s tenure was the shortest in the history of the position.”
