At the same time that Democrat Joe Biden suffers from a humiliating drop in his polls, he has the nerve to rebuke a wildly popular, firebrand, Lt. Governor of North Carolina- Mark Robinson, over Robinson’s beliefs that children should not be forced to learn about homosexuality at school.
“It is filthy,” Robinson said at a recent meeting meant for North Carolina Pastors and clergy.
Robinson often says that he wants to get into teaching when he leaves politics, and I talked to him about education in 2017. Robinson is a Conservative who has focused on restoring the institution of learning, and he has spoken out quite bluntly about what he has found that he doesn’t like.
One of Robinson’s first big official gestures was to create a Taskforce to evaluate the nature of public education in the state.
But Biden, who has nothing to do with schools in North Carolina, wanted to jump and make a comment about Robinson’s beliefs.
“As Democrats from the White House to the state Senate express outrage and even call for his resignation, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson said Friday he wouldn’t back down from pointed comments about homosexuality he made several months ago.
“We will not be intimidated. We will not back down. We will not change our language,” Robinson said. “The language I used, I am not ashamed of it. I will use it in the future because, again, it is time for parents in this state to take a strong stand for their children.”
While speaking at Asbury Baptist Church in Seagrove in June, Robinson called transgenderism and homosexuality “filth.”
“There is no reason anybody, anywhere in America should be telling any child about transgenderism, homosexuality or any of that filth,” Robinson said to applause from the congregation. “And yes, I called it filth. And if you don’t like it that I called it filth, come see me about it.”
Sen. Jeff Jackson, D-Mecklenburg, said Thursday that North Carolina does not need open discrimination from a high-ranking public official and called for Robinson, a Republican, to resign.”
IF YOU KNOW MARK- YOU KNOW THIS
I know Mark Robinson, so I can promise you, dear reader, he doesn’t care about getting called out for what he said. And his family supports him. There is no fear. He is not a politician.
HE DOESN’T DO IT FOR THE MEDIA- HE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT MEDIA APPROVAL
Mark Robinson gets media attention without ever wanting it. That is something that people really need to understand about him, he is one of the most authentic humans I have ever met. I interviewed Robinson early after his speech at the Greensboro city council, which would end up propelling him to the most powerful Republican position in the state of North Carolina as our first Black Lt. Governor.
I have had some great conversations with both Robinson’s, who I call friends. Mark’s wife Yolanda is a welcome sight for me, as a Facebook friend and pal who is always available for a good chat – she is always encouraging to me, personally. A lovely and kind woman.
“I can give you great media, all of the time,” I would tell Yolanda. “We don’t do things for the media,” she will say. And they don’t. But they get media anyway because Mark is very honest about his beliefs and that is what North Carolina and America craves.
He is very candid on his Facebook page, posting whatever is on his mind. He has never changed a thing about himself from the time he was making furniture to put himself through college to become a teacher, until now- as a man who serves at a historical time, as a historical victor.
The Robinsons have been traveling around the country with the American Renewal Project for some time. I have attended numerous of events as a Sunday School teacher. They are designed to be highly motivating and to get the word out to the state that North Carolina has a revival on its hands.
Leave it to Mark Robinson to alert the whole world to the Lord’s work in the state. I think that is pretty cool- and for what it is worth, Mark is right. North Carolina has a massive problem in the schools.
Consider my story about what is going on in North Carolina and the LGBTQ movement in the schools.
