Genuine asylum seekers are being turned away while the southern border is wide open as Democrat Joe Biden shows who his administration favors.
“Even if asylum-seekers establish fear of persecution, they will be resettled in third countries”, Mayorkas said.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Haitian and Cuban migrants and asylum-seekers who try to come to the U.S. by boat would not be allowed to enter the country.

“If individuals make, establish a well-founded fear of persecution or torture, they are referred to third countries for resettlement. They will not enter the United States,” Mayorkas said.
Refugee advocates rebuked Mayorkas’ remarks.
@KennjiKizuka: “The U.S. government shouldn’t be using this system of off-shore processing to evade our refugee protection laws. They should allow people to land in the United States and go through their full asylum proceedings.”
“The stern warning by Mayorkas, who fled Cuba with his family following the communist takeover of the island, actually did not mark a shift in current U.S. policy. For decades, the U.S. government has been turning back the vast majority of migrants encountered at sea,” a CBS Immigration lawyer reported.
Fox News reported:
Mayorkas accused of denying Cubans, Haitians U.S. entry because they’d ‘vote against the commie bulls—‘
‘Apparently, he only wants people pretending to need asylum because those people will still vote for socialist Democrats,’ Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas faced heavy blowback for declaring Tuesday that those fleeing violence in Cuba or Haiti by sea would not be allowed into the U.S. — and would either be returned or referred to a third country.
“The time is never right to attempt migration by sea,” Mayorkas said at a news conference on Tuesday. “Allow me to be clear: If you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States.”
Social media critics erupted Wednesday, leveling solid accusations against the Biden administration for closing the doors to Cubans and Haitians fleeing violent political uprisings in their country while maintaining exceptionally lax immigration restrictions at the US-Mexico border.
Other users noted that Mayorkas’s family fled Cuba in 1960 when he was just a year old.
“Mayorkas is a Cuban national whose family fled to the United States and Florida. Do you think a single cable news host like Cuomo, Tapper or Chuck Todd will ask him about this? Just one?,” the Spectator contributor Stephen L. Miller wrote.
Independent journalist Jordan Schachtel said it is “sickening” that Mayorkes is “denying others the opportunity that was presented to him when he was a kid. I can only imagine the betrayal that his fellow Cuban-American.
BIDEN AND BLM AGREE
The Black Lives Matter organization released an official statement on social media this week regarding the pro-democracy protests sweeping Cuba; blaming the US and praising the Communist regime in the aftermath of the demonstrations.

“Black lives matter condemns the US federal government’s inhumane treatment of Cubans, and urges it to immediately lift the economic embargo,” posted the group.
“Since 1962, the United States has forced pain and suffering on the people of Cuba by cutting off food, medicine and supplies, costing the tiny island nation an estimated $130 billion,” it added. “Cuba has historically demonstrated solidarity with oppressed peoples of African descent.”

“This embargo is a blatant human rights violation and it must come to an end,” concluded BLM.
