After months of speculation about his motivations and his support of President Donald J. Trump, and after a month of public outcry over what appears to be widescale concerns over the integrity of the 2020 Presidential election, William Barr the Attorney General of the United States finally made a statement about his point of view on fraud.
Barr chose to make his statement to the Associated Press who wrote,” Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday the Justice Department has not uncovered evidence of widespread voter fraud that would change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.”
The Trump team reacted to Barr’s statement and made the following statement of their own:
“With all due respect to the Attorney General, there hasn’t been any semblance of a Department of Justice investigation. We have gathered ample evidence of illegal voting in at least six states, which they have not examined. We have many witnesses swearing under oath they saw crimes being committed in connection with voter fraud. As far as we know, not a single one has been interviewed by the DOJ. The Justice Department also hasn’t audited any voting machines or used their subpoena powers to determine the truth.
“Nonetheless, we will continue our pursuit of the truth through the judicial system and state legislatures, and continue toward the Constitution’s mandate and ensuring that every legal vote is counted and every illegal vote is not. Again, with the greatest respect to the Attorney General, his opinion appears to be without any knowledge or investigation of the substantial irregularities and evidence of systemic fraud.”

The AP went on in their article about Barr’s statement, to discredit the efforts Trump’s legal team has made, and to even support the idea that the President, his legal team, concerned Americans and lawmakers who want investigations, do not have a right to have their concerns addressed.
“His [Barr’s] comments in an interview with The Associated Press come despite President Donald Trump’s repeated baseless claims that the election was stolen, Trump’s effort to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential election and his refusal to concede his loss to President-Elect Joe Biden,” The AP wrote.
“Barr said U.S. attorneys and FBI agents have been working to follow up specific complaints and information they’ve received, but they’ve uncovered no evidence that would change the outcome of the election. Barr was headed to the White House later for a previously scheduled meeting,” according to the AP article.
“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told the AP.
Barr’s comments are frustrating to many Americans because they have watched hours of testimony that shows the opposite. Trump’s legal team has been presenting hearings with state legislators, giving eyewitness testimony from Americans that shows enough voter fraud to warrant investigation.
Barr disagrees. His statement happens as Trump and his legal team have found a number of allies who feel investigations are warranted, including US Representative Andy Biggs, who authored a request for an investigation, on Monday which is one the of numerous requests by US Lawmakers for the Department of Justice to investigate allegations of criminal activity surrounding the US Presidential Election, that appear to go unnoticed by the AG, or at least by the FBI.
