The Republican Nation Convention is over and now both the Republican and Democrat Presidential campaigns are in full swing headed toward the November 3rd General Election, and consultants are watching the Black vote very closely, with both parties hoping to gain the confidence of their votes.
A new poll shows that Republican President Donald J. Trump’s ” support among black voters rose 9 percentage points amid the Republican National Convention, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.”
The same poll showed “Twenty-four percent of registered black voters in the Aug. 22-25 survey, which included the first two days of the convention, said they approve of the job Trump is doing as president.”
Republicans have not done well with the Black Community since at least the 1960’s so these findings show a historic shift in voting demographics for President Trump.
Democrat hopeful Joe Biden has made a number of painful mistakes with the Black Community, and Trump has made a number of strategic plays for the Black vote.
During the Republican Convention there were numerous high profile Black Speakers making the case of why they are Republican and will vote for Trump.
These are videos of just a few of the powerful Black Americans who spoke on behalf of Trump:
Trump won only 8% of the black vote in 2016, but the latest Zogby poll indicates he has the approval of 36% of black voters and 52% overall, a new high.
Blacks did not vote for Trump, but he delivered for them with historic low unemployment, elevating Black Americans where he could and listening to their concerns. Trump has engaged with the Black Community like no other Republican President has, making them a focus of his agenda.

Trump also gained two points with Hispanics, who are more openly supportive of Trump, but the news was exciting to Republicans because Democrat Vice President candidate Kamala Harris is making a play to focus on Hispanics to win Florida.
The Trump campaign has Black Democrats helping him with a group called “Black Voices for Trump”:
