The State of Texas withdrew their face mask covering demands, and two weeks later, the number of COVID cases has decreased, sending the left scrambling for new claims for what people must comply with their demands.

“Texas Gov. Greg Abbott officially lifted the mandatory mask mandate on March 10. Two weeks later, the state’s COVID-19 hospitalizations have decreased by 21 percent. The rolling average number of daily new cases decreased by almost 2,199 over the past two weeks, a 36 percent drop,” The Federalist reported.

Upon hearing Abbott’s announcement on March 2, Democrats and corporate media warned that death and destruction were imminent. Anthony Fauci called the decision “inexplicable.” President Joe Biden called it “Neanderthal thinking.” Failed Senate and presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke called it a “death warrant for Texans.” California Gov. Gavin Newsom said it was “absolutely reckless.”

“It’s been 2 weeks since Texas lifted the mask mandate. Covid hospitalizations statewide are down 21%. That is what is important,” one Abbot supporter wrote.

“Just as I suspected ever since the CDC did that study of people with Covid 19. The CDC found that 86% of those infected with Covid wore their mask all or almost all of the time, yet only 3.8% of those infected never wore a mask. Extrapolating from that data, masks spread Covid,” one poster wrote on Twitter in reaction to the news.

The left will say that there is no evidence that not wearing a mask has “finally flattened the curve,” but the fact remains that Texas has the right to breathe freely again, and people are not dying over it.

“It’s been a little more than 20 days since Texas Gov. Greg Abbott lifted the state’s mask mandate and opened all businesses to 100 percent capacity. And it’s only been about 19 days since the mainstream media freaked out about it.

Even President Joe Biden referred to it as a “Neanderthal” decision.

Well, guess what? Since Abbott’s decision, data shows cases of COVID-19 in Texas continue to plummet,” outkick reported.

AND IN MISSISSIPPI

“It isn’t just Texas, Hedge accordingly reported; two Republican governors, Greg Abbott of Texas and Tate Reeves of Mississippi, have issued executive orders ending their respective states’ COVID-19 mask mandates and enabling businesses and facilities in the state to return to 100% operations,” they reported.

In Mississippi, Reeves took to Twitter to announce his state’s mask mandate is ending Wednesday.

“Executive orders that interfered with peoples’ lives were the worst, but the only possible, intervention for much of the last year,” he tweeted. “Now, we are putting our focus towards rapid vaccine distribution. We are getting out of the business of telling people what they can and cannot do.”

Reeves noted Mississippi was among the few states that did not go into a full lockdown during the pandemic, adding that “we’ve been rewarded for it with more jobs and economic recovery. That’s not because what we put in place was a light burden. It’s only because the rest of the country was so harsh.

“We need to recognize that none of these orders, in any state, are anything short of unprecedented. They have to end at the earliest possible moment. This is that moment for Mississippi.”

According to other reports, removing the mask seems to be a trend in places where COVID numbers are going down.

Is it because of the masks, or because people are getting tested less?  No one knows, no one is studying it either, but the fact that the numbers are going down while masks are coming off is not a good look for Fauci and the Democrat.
