James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, an undercover reporting organization not unlike what 60 Minutes used to do before they went Woke and lost all credibility, is known for releasing undercover video reports in multiple parts so that each bombshell report gets the full weight it deserves.
Earlier this week, we reported on Project Veritas’ latest bombshell story of CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester admitting on an undercover camera that the CNN news network engaged in intentional propaganda tactics to get President Donald Trump out of office.
Now the second part of their report has dropped.
In the first video released by O’Keefe, we saw multiple video clips of CNN’s technical director going on about how CNN does things that are considered unscrupulous, dishonest, and corrupt mostly for ratings but in the case of Trump to affect the 2020 election and more against the former president. Chester revealed certain tactics that the news network uses, like putting on so-called “experts” to give credibility to the news stories that CNN made up out of thin air about Trump.
Part 2 of the story was released, and it’s a lot more controversial.
In the second bombshell release of the CNN undercover story, the Veritas journalist recorded Chester talking about how ratings mean everything to the news network. Ratings are important, of course, but news outlets like CNN constantly tell their viewers that for them it’s all about the story, about getting the truth out to the American people. So there’s the CNN technical director talking about how ratings are everything.
Chester also talks about the rationale behind the COVID death count that CNN put on the screen during their shows, saying that he and others wished the death count number was even higher, because, you know, ratings. To him, besides higher ratings, the higher the COVID death count, the more damage done to then President Trump. He exposes why the COVID recovery rates were never shown or even talked about.
He goes on to philosophize about the difference between stories that are sad and those that stoke fear. He claims there is a special red phone he referred to as the “bat-phone” that rings whenever CNN President Jeff Zucker or someone in the upper ranks of management wants something done as quick as possible like when they would occasionally take down the COVID death count they’d get a call on the bat-phone to put it back up.
He gets into how CNN psychologically manipulates their viewers by putting on positive fluff pieces at the end of the day so that they go away feeling good about the network that just lied their rear ends off all day long. He also gets into the concept of “unbiased news” and questions if it even exists. He even said that he believes the only unbiased news is “grassroots” that comes out of people’s basements in podcasts. He justifies CNN’s biased news reporting by claiming that Fox News does the same thing. I think it’s important to note that Fox News splits its programming into two categories: news anchors and opinion hosts. CNN calls all of their opinion hosts news anchors. I honestly don’t know if they even have any real news people in the television news network.
He talks about another important manipulation tactic the network does, which he called “burying the lead,” claiming it to be an “art form” which he says is when their hosts use the aura of being an important television news anchor to nudge their guests to respond a certain way or the way the network wants them to respond. In court that would be called “leading the witness” where CNN hosts put words in the mouth of their guests or make a subtle suggestion to what the correct answer would be. An example of this would be, “Dr. Thingamabob, it appears that Donald Trump is not living in reality, as is evidenced by the way he treats reporters. Do you agree that Trump is unstable and what can we do about it?”
The CNN technical director admitted to CNN’s complete lack of objectivity. I see this all the time on that network, which I watch so that you don’t have to. You’re welcome.
This video shows how CNN is one of the most unscrupulous networks on cable news with no moral principles, engaging in dishonesty and unfairness.
And there’s a lot more.
