Fahrenheit 451 was the first full book I ever read. I’ll be honest. I only read it because of a computer game of the same title. As a young kid, the game was pretty cool, and when I heard it was named after a book that everyone else in the world knew about, I decided to see what the hubbub was all about. It bears a clever title in that 451 degrees Fahrenheit is the temperature that paper starts to burn. The book is about a dystopian future where the government bans all books so that the great unwashed won’t be able to read them. And they didn’t just ban books, they burned them so they no longer existed.
Amazon, arguably the world’s largest bookseller, has decided that it will no longer allow the sale of books that teach that transgenderism and other sexual identities or orientations make any claims that they are conditions caused by mental illness. Yet, they still allow for sale a book titled The GayBC’s listed as “A joyful celebration of LGBTQ+ vocabulary for kids of all ages!“
The bookseller announced the policy after Republican lawmakers asked the company why they pulled the sale of Ryan T. Anderson’s 2018 book, “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement.”
That book, which sat on Amazon’s bestsellers list, is no longer available for purchase at Amazon at all, period, full stop.
But you can still buy a copy of Adolf Hitler’s Main Kampf where the socialist dictator plotted and planned to take over the world on Amazon either through the company or through third-party sellers.
In a letter sent to Republican Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Mike Braun (R-IN), Amazon responded by saying, “As a bookseller, we provide our customers with access to a variety of viewpoints, including books that some customers may find objectionable.”
“Amazon works hard to ensure customers have a great shopping experience, and access to the widest and most diverse cross-section of written and spoken word in retail today,” the letter continued. “We reserve the right not to sell certain content. All retailers make decisions about what selection they choose to offer, as do we.”
The letter added, “As to your specific question about ‘When Harry Became Sally,’ we have chosen not to sell books that frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness.” This even though homosexuality was listed by the American Psychiatric Association, the largest psychiatric organization in the world, as a mental disorder up until the politicians got involved, the same type of politicians who today demand that we trust the science, and without any “science” involved they just reversed their stance on the issue back in 2012. It’s when you read their statement saying “We will no longer insist on a label of sickness for individuals who insist that they are well and demonstrate no generalized impairment in social effectiveness,” followed by claiming the APA supports “civil rights legislation at local, state, and federal levels that would ensure homosexual citizens the same protections now guaranteed to others,” that you realize it was a purely political reason for the 180-degree turn. If Schizophrenia suddenly because very popular in pop culture these clowns would more-than-likely do a 180 on that too.
The author took to social media to discuss Amazon’s crazy move [pun intended].
“Amazon has finally responded. Everyone agrees that gender dysphoria is a serious condition that causes great suffering. There is a debate, however, which Amazon is seeking to shut down, about how best to treat patients who experience gender dysphoria.”
Don’t forget folks, gender dysphoria is listed in the Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), a manual published by the American Psychiatric Association to diagnose mental conditions.
He followed up with another tweet.
“Gender dysphoria,” Anderson explained, “is listed in the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, which Amazon sells. So the real deciding factor seems to be whether you endorse hormones and surgery as the proper treatment or counseling.”

“Amazon appears to have never read my book, but relied on hit pieces. As I pointed out before: ‘Please quote the passage where I ‘call them mentally ill.’ You can’t quote that passage because it doesn’t exist.”

Jeffrey Trachtenberg, of the Wall Street Journal, said the bookseller’s decision comes as “the nation’s largest tech platforms are under increased scrutiny regarding the decisions they make over which content is acceptable.”
It sounds like the insane asylum patients are complaining so much to politicians and corporations that the corporate board rooms fear political influence that could harm their bottom line so they take the easy way out and say “screw you” to the 60% of the people who buy their stuff because the Democrats are running the show now. That, and because the leftist tech tyrants agree to be the de facto government dishing out punishments to those who dare go up against the Woke Supremacy.

“The senators, in their letter dated February 24, characterized Amazon’s decision to remove the book as a signal ‘to conservative Americans that their views are not welcome on its platforms,'” Trachtenberg wrote.
