Radical progressive leftist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) (AOC) has come up with an idea to promote her socialist message and presumably to fund her campaign. She opened an online retail store to get people to purchase merchandise that contains messaging promoting socialism.
In other words, the self-avowed democratic socialist is using capitalism to promote socialism by selling merchandise that will help her spread her message of a death cult ideology.
Socialism is a parasite of capitalism in every respect because without it socialism would die – nay – the people suffering under socialism would die.
And you better not call what she’s doing capitalism, or else.
Did she even stop to think about the hypocrisy of this endeavor?
On Monday, Reuters reported that the rich socialist congresswoman from New York is now investing heavily in her online store,” where she is pushing products capitalizing on her AOC brand making use of her favorite, and fatally wrong, slogans.
This is as stupid as people wearing Che clothing thinking Che Guevara was anything but a murderous thug for the Castro regime who was personally responsible for executing over 140 innocent people.
Capitalizing on her AOC brand. But it's not capitalism. $58 — CHEAP!!!https://t.co/58uHMaR8XS pic.twitter.com/iffo0qYHmN

According to the outlet, AOC’s campaign paid in excess of $1.4 million to Financial Innovations, which supplied and operated AOC’s online store, in the first six months of 2021. That is almost twice as much as what she paid the company over the last two years combined. She spent more than a lot of congressional members did on their entire re-election efforts during the same six-month period.
Like a good capitalist, the radical socialist New Yorker is capitalizing on her star power to net herself a nice profit from her online store.
According to Andrew Frawley, the guy who ran the merchandise part of Andrew Yang’s failed 2020 presidential campaign, AOC’s campaign could be making a 50% profit or more on much of its sales. That’s pretty good for a socialist who insults capitalism almost every day.
Sean Spicer, former White House press secretary for President Donald Trump pointed out that AOC was raking it in under the capitalist system she denounces all the time.
“using capitalism to push socialism
Branding the U.S. left: @AOC makes a push into political merchandise”

Spicer’s tweet triggered the dingbat from the Bronx so much that she responded by attempting to argue back that what she was engaged in was not capitalism. She doesn’t think that putting out money to buy merchandise that she can sell to people who love her personal brand at a higher price than what she paid for it is capitalism.
In her best snarky tone, AOC replied to Spicer.
“Not sure if you know this Sean, but transactions aren’t capitalism.
Capitalism is a system that prioritizes profit at any & all human/enviro cost.
But fwiw our shop is unionized, doesn’t operate for profit,& funds projects like free tutoring, food programs,& local organizing.”

What a hot mess this woman is. AOC a real idiot savant minus the savant part. She has an economics degree from Boston University and she doesn’t understand the basic fundamentals of capitalism. She should demand a refund from the university. Capitalism in its simplest definition is an economic system where private actors own and control property to do with what they want to serve their own interests where supply and demand set prices in markets to best serve the interests of society. The biggest feature of capitalism is to make a profit.
Capitalism is the most moral economic system in the world because it is based on the buyer and seller walking away from a transaction happy. For example, a customer comes into your store because she needs bread for her family. You bought bread and stocked it on a shelf in your store. The woman takes a loaf of bread to the counter and pays you an amount slightly more than what you paid for it. The woman walks away happy because she got a loaf of bread that she wanted to use to feed her family and you, the seller, are happy because you made a profit.
Socialism is completely different because it involves the government screwing everything up. In our capitalism example, under socialism, the government might say that poor people can’t afford to buy your bread, so either you must lower your price, which cuts into your profit, or the government will subsidize your business so that you can lower the price of your goods and still make the same profit, but then you’re owned by the government.
AOC believes a nonprofit isn’t participating in capitalism. Nonprofits create a profit every bit as much as for-profit companies do. Instead of using capitalism for profit, they use it for the betterment of society.
As of this writing, AOC has not yet explained how what she is doing is not participating in capitalism.
