Since Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization, you would think that Johnson wouldn’t make a great fit with BLM after being a successful businessman, media magnate, executive, philanthropist, and investor who co-founded BET which was purchased by Viacom in 20011.
You would be wrong about that.
While the idea of black Americans getting away from the Democratic Party is a good one – nay could be the best thing they’ve ever done – black Americans would be better off joining the Republican Party or creating an independent party that has no affiliation to BLM or any other Marxist group.
Johnson made an appearance on CNBC Tuesday morning where the billionaire said, “I’ve been convinced for a long time that 40 million African Americans who tend to vote as a bloc in one of the two parties limit their leverage in getting action from both parties.”

However, Johnson sent a letter to BLM last week asking them to do exactly that:
I am writing to you with a suggestion that Black Lives Matter (BLM) consider establishing a formal independent political party. The party could be founded on the principle articulated by the founding members of the Congressional Black Caucus in 1971. That formative principle stated, “Black people have no permanent friends, no permanent enemies.…just permanent interests.” The effort to create an independent Black party, created specifically to address Black issues, is not a new idea among Black people. There are many people, both Black and white who believe that independent parties can make a significant contribution to the current political system as to how this nation of 300 million diverse citizens can be governed in the best interest of all Americans. Many pundits will try to convince you that it is impossible for independent parties to exist in this country. They will argue that the American people seem to be satisfied with just two choices. To the contrary, I believe a politically astute and structured Black independent party, committed and engaged in the electoral process, can prove them wrong.
Johnson argued for $14 trillion in slavery reparations earlier this month, which, let’s be honest, is nuts considering that there’s only about $1.5 trillion of US bills floating around the globe at this time.
On CNBC, Johnson expanded on his Black Lives Matter independent party idea: “I think it’s time African Americans to form an independent party, not be an appendage of one party or ignored by the other party.”
“Had African American interests been fully embraced by one of two of the dominant parties, we wouldn’t have the tremendous social and economic racial issues that we have now,” he continued.
I completely, 100 percent agree with him on that point. The Democratic Party was the party of evil toward black Americans, the party of slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, genocide by abortion, lousy schools, communities that breed crime and poverty, and hopelessness, while the modern-day Republican Party has a lousy outreach for black Americans.
I believe Republicans have been so awful in their outreach to the black community due to decades of being lied about from their Democrat counterparts, being afraid to speak in black communities, and now, not knowing how to talk to black people.
After all, that’s gone on over the last month, since George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis cops, more white people have never been so willing to sit back and listen to black Americans air their grievances.
I think the Republican Party has much to offer to black voters, School Choice is one of them. Republicans have wanted to pass School Choice for years, but the embedded Democrat politicians in black communities, along with the strong teacher’s unions, have blocked School Choice efforts. Why? Because the unions care more about the employment of adults than the education of our kids, and Democrats only care about getting reelected with the money donated to them by teacher’s unions. Republicans recognize that a zip code should never be the criteria for where you send your kids to school. A failing school across the street from your house is still a failing school. Black parents want their children to have the best opportunities available, and School Choice would be a great start.
On top of that, the GOP, through the efforts of President Donald Trump and the Congressional leadership, has already shown black voters that they were willing and able to lower black unemployment rates to the lowest ever recorded, to pass prison reform with the First Step Act, which is just the beginning, and to support historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) by not only increasing the grant amounts given but by including the grants in the yearly budget, which means it will always be there and will be increased. Democrats did none of that after 70 years of one-party control of the black vote.
Republicans are saying, albeit in the timidest way possible, that they want to represent all Americans and to put an end to class divisions by hatred of each other. Enough is enough. Walk away from the Democratic Party and change will come.
Johnson added that he wants to see Black Lives Matter candidates run at all levels of government, local, state, and national.
Johnson admits it’s too late for an independent party to gear up for this year, however, he believes now’s the time to have the dialogue. “As you can see, the Democrat Party is terrified of the notion that black folks might either vote a protest vote at the top of the ticket or decide to sit this out.”
To point out how the Democratic Party takes the black vote for granted, Mr. Johnson mentioned how Joe Biden last month told black people that if they didn’t vote for him they “ain’t black.” Biden doesn’t even understand how horrific a statement that was as if saying that he, and old white man Democrat politician, is who decides who is black or not.
Johnson said this was a “horrific statement that reflects the need for a black independent party. That someone can be so presumptuous that you have to vote for a Democrat or otherwise you are not identified as black.”
“That is the principal reason why we need an independent black party — to change that kind of behavior so that we’re not taken for granted by the Democrats and ignored by the Republicans.”
Johnson has supported President Trump in the past, and though some Fake News reporters are saying that Johnson is pushing an idea to split the Democrat vote to go in Trump’s favor, the truth is that Johnson has already recognized that it’s too late to form a party this year for the November election.
I think many black voters should at least take a look at the Republican Party because they have more in common with Republicans than they do the Democratic Party of today. Black Americans want the same things Republicans want. They want better schools for their kids, good-paying jobs, a nice house in a safe neighborhood, and to be recognized as black American who have their own unique experience as Americans that is just as valid as anyone else.
Democrats on the other hand want lawlessness in the streets, pushing to dismantle and defund police departments to appease BLM and other such Marxist groups, while completely ignoring the fact that getting rid of police would harm black Americans in black communities more than anyone else.
Another thing black Democrats should consider is that every city in America run by Democrats for decades has the same problems; poverty, high crime rates, failing schools, high drug and alcohol dependence, and the list goes on.

It’s time for Republicans to reach out. Don’t ask why are black people not coming to the GOP. Tell them what you will do for the black community if they join you. Give black America a reason to come over, and you might be surprised.
