Brian Stelter Brings On Researchers in Media Bias to Degrade Fox News and is Shocked When Expert Also Scrutinizes CNN as Biased [VIDEO]

You would think after things like this happening so many times to Brian Stelter, CNN‘s media critic and former Jeff Zucker coffee boy, he would think twice about trying to pull childish stunts. But lo and behold, that’s not the case, and Humpty Dumpty was shocked during a segment on his show where he brought in experts to use as a reenforcement to his narrative that Fox News is conservatively biased, only to have his own guests point out that CNN is left-wing biased.

Two researchers from the University of California at Berkeley made an appearance on Stelter’s show to discuss a study they conducted where Fox News viewers were paid to watch CNN and they recorded and analyzed their reactions.

“Basically, you’re proving what we’ve sensed for a while, which is, Fox viewers are in the dark about bad news for the GOP,” Stelter said trying to lead Professor Joshua Kalla, one of the researchers, into corroborating his anti-Fox obsession.

“That’s right. Fox and CNN cover different issues, and Fox News predominantly covers issues that make the GOP look good, and make Democrats look bad. On the flip side, CNN engages in this partisan coverage filtering as well, we find,” Kalla said.

The professor then gave an example of when the Abraham Accords were signed under former President Donald Trump, where Fox News covered the major accomplishment about 15 times more than CNN did.

“We saw how much both networks are encouraging in this partisan coverage filtering. It’s not about one side, it’s about the media writ large,” Kally continued.

“I think you’re engaging in some both-sides-ism there, Josh,” Stelter scolded him.

Stelter brought in the researcher of the study and because they said something on his show that should have embarrassed his own network, Stelter accused the authors of the study of being biased. This means Stelter didn’t read the whole study prior to bringing the researchers of the study onto his show. What a jackass!

“Not trying to lay out a moral equivalency,” Kalla replied. “It’s not about what an objective standard is. It’s really about how all networks do engage in this. And in order for viewers to get a realistic picture of the world, we need viewers to see all types of information. And unfortunately, what we find in the study is that the viewers don’t want to engage in watching both sides.”

The professor went on to note that most people want to watch the news channel that makes them feel good and said that all news outlets have to do a better job of reporting both sides fairly so that the news media can educate the public effectively.

I would argue that Fox News has two sides of the network; one side being journalism/news and the other being political opinion. The opinion guys at Fox are not billed as “journalists.” In fact, many of them would be insulted if they were.

On the flip side, most on air people with a show at CNN who are billed as news anchors come off like they are spewing their own personal political biased opinions. They must have gotten the FACTS vaccine as children because now as adults they don’t get FACTS.

It would be fine if they were promoted as political opinion hosts, but that’s not the case for many of them.
