A bus driver in San Francisco was attacked by a rider this week who used a miniature souvenir baseball bat, who became enraged when he was told multiple times that he was required to put on a face mask, reports said.
That’s nothing. I went to Catholic high school where a certain priest used a large drum stick to beat on us if we were talking in class. If you put your hands up to protect yourself he hit your fingers and it stung like a, well, like a large drum stick.
Believe it or not, the priest was doing us a solid, because otherwise he would have to turn us in for disruption in class, and we’d get demerits. After 10 demerits you get suspended.
Kind of a sick way of appreciating it, but I digress.
The attacker was part of a group of three men not wearing masks who boarded the Muni city bus Wednesday in the city’s SoMa district.
Passengers are required to put on face coverings on San Francisco’s public transit, and the driver instructed the trio a number of times to put on the required face coverings, but they refused, officials stated.
When police got to the scene, the driver told them that 3 guys had boarded his bus and they were not wearing masks. He told them multiple times to put on a masks, however they refused.
Under San Francisco’s public health order, all residents are required to wear face coverings out in public and while riding public transportation.
Police stated the driver pulled the bus over to escort the suspects off. As the driver was ushering them off the bus, one of them allegedly pulled out a wooden bat and beat on the driver a number of times.
Muni — San Francisco’s transportation service — employees and a representative with Transport Workers Union Local 250A told KTVU that the driving force was spit on after being verbally assaulted and was physically attacked with a miniature souvenir baseball bat.
Can you imagine going to jail and having to explain that to the other inmates? But again, I digress.
They union rep said the victim’s injuries weren’t life threatening, however he suffered a fractured finger and he was shaken from the incident, and he’s recovering at home.
This is what happens when the government makes you an involuntary agent of the state, and an enforcer of masks.
