California AG Charged LA County DA’s Husband for Pointing a Gun at BLM Protesters Who Showed Up on Their Property [VIDEO]

The husband of Los Angeles District Legal professional Jackie Lacey has been charged with pointing a gun at Black Lives Matter members who demonstrated outside the couple’s house the day before she faced a primary election in March.

On Monday, the California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who is a leftist nut bag, filed 3 misdemeanor charges against David Lacey in Los Angeles Superior Court  for assault with a firearm for the March 2 incident.

Lacey, 66, pointed a gun at protesters who demonstrated outside the couple’s house before dawn on March 2 and said “I will shoot you,” according to video of the incident.  They’ve been harassed daily for a very long time.

People from a group with a reputation for destroying property and harming people go uninvited on your property, and you’re not allowed to defend either?  This is what leftists now want in America.  They’re trying to get rid of the Second Amendment by charging people who are rightfully trying to defend themselves and their property.  They tried this in Missouri against the McCloskeys, but at least that state has a sane Attorney General, Eric Schmitt, who intervened and dropped the ridiculous charges against the McCloskeys by the ridiculous leftist Circuit Attorney, Kind Gardner.

Jackie Lacey apologized at the time, saying her husband admitted to her that he pulled the gun and told protesters to leave their property.

A statement was issued by Lacey’s campaign on Tuesday saying her husband believed they were in danger and he was only trying to protect them.  That’s pretty much how it comes off in the video.

“The events that took place earlier this year have caused my family immense pain,” Lacey said in the statement. “My husband acted in fear for my safety after we were subjected to months of harassment that included a death threat no less than a week earlier.”

Lacey, who is the first Black person and first woman to run the nation’s largest local prosecutor’s office, has been a target of BLM protesters for almost 3 years.  They have held weekly demonstrations outside her office demanding she be thrown out of office. The protests started out small, but have grown to be in the thousands after the George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police.

The protesters complain that Lacey has failed to hold law enforcement accountable in fatal shootings.  She charged one cop in a fatal shooting, but decided not to file charges in more than 340 other fatal shootings.  Gee could it be because they were lawful occurrences?

David Lacey, Jackie’s husband, worked as an investigative auditor for the DA’s office until 2016 when he retired.

His lawyer issued a statement saying they were disappointed that he was charged with a crime, but they won’t discuss the details right now.

“We disagree entirely with their assessment, but we have the utmost faith in the justice system, and we are confident that the correct result will be reached,” attorney Samuel Tyre said. “My client’s human instinct is forever and always to protect his wife and his family and to keep them safe from physical harm.”
