Americans not obeying their Democrat masters are to blame for coronavirus cases surging in the states with the strictest lockdowns, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci (da Fauch) and senior Representative Jim Clyburn (D-SC). That’s what it sounded like last week during a congressional hearing about the pandemic response.
Last week, Fauci was testifying before the House Coronavirus Crisis Subcommittee when Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked da Fauch when he thought Americans could “get their freedoms back” and though that one made headlines, there was another important question that Fauci never answered and the Fake News media never reported.
Jordan pointed to Michigan, a state with some of the harshest lockdown rules since the beginning, and yet they are now reporting the highest level of coronavirus cases in the country. He asked Dr. Fauci to explain how come states that lifted their lockdown mitigation restrictions like Texas and Wisconsin are not seeing surges in COVID cases the way Michigan has.
“You said when Texas ended their lockdown, ended their mandate, that this was ‘inexplicable and would lead to a surge in cases,'” Jordan reminisced with Fauci. “Texas is near the bottom of the 50 states, but all the states at the top are lockdown states.”
To us, the great unwashed of average intelligence, the evidence seems to indicate that lockdowns are causing surges in COVID cases while lifting lockdowns has the opposite effect.
The top lockdown states Jordan was talking about are Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, my home state of Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island, all Democrat-run states.
“What explains why Texas is so darn low compared to the rest of the states?” he asked.
Dr. Fauci was asked why Texas, with no statewide restrictions, hasn’t yet seen a surge this spring, unlike other states.
His answer? It’s not the mandates that matter, it’s behavior. And Texans are simply behaving better than people in Michigan.

Fauci’s answer will floor you.
“There’s a difference between lockdown and the people obeying the lockdown,” Fauci replied. “You could have a situation where they say we’re going to lock down, and yet you have people doing exactly what they shouldn’t do.”
Minus the bureaucrat-speak, Fauci was saying that people in Michigan are not following orders like good little members of the COVID Supremacy and that in Texas people are complying more with mask-wearing and social distancing. You just can’t get an honest answer from this man. The answer is simple. Lockdowns help spread the virus more, at least according to the top epidemiologists in the world.
“Is that what’s happening in the top eight states in the country?” a distrusting Jordan asked. “They’re just not following what’s been told, they’re not listening to Dr. Fauci?”
Before Fauci was able to respond, Clyburn, the committee Chairman, announced that Jordan’s time had expired and so he was done. When Jordan protested that Fauci should have to answer the question, Clyburn argued that Fauci already did.
“I think the gentleman answered you quite clearly,” Clyburn said. Clearly, Fauci did not answer Jordan’s question. “There is a big difference in being a lockdown state by order and being a state that obeys orders. That answers the question, in my opinion.” Clyburn’s opinion sides with the lockdown Nazis who have been exploiting COVID-19 for political gain since the very beginning.
The latest numbers from the New York Times’ COVID-19 tracker shows Michigan experienced an average of 6,884 new COVID cases on April 20, about 69 new cases per 100,000 resident daily.
By comparison, Wisconsin experienced a daily average of 827 new cases on April 20 with only 14 new cases per 100,000 people. In Texas there were 2,952 new cases, 10 new cases per 100,000 people, but remember that Texas has a much larger population.
It’s patently obvious that states with no lockdowns are doing much better than those who still have them, and if Democrats are trying to hush that up or even cover it up, then it proves that they are using the virus story to gain political advantages.
The very fact that Michigan continues to enforce strict coronavirus mitigation policies and still experiencing cases surges means that someone there should take a look at that correlation and do something about it, but that would require a Democrat governor caring more about their constituents’ liberties and freedoms than having the ability to lord over them for political gain.
The question of why states with lockdowns are doing worse than states without lockdowns could have been answered if only Clyburn would have allowed it, but he didn’t.
