Progressives are anything but decent people. Never forget that for progressives, everything is political. From waking up in the morning to ending their day by pulling wings from flies, everything in between was a day of politicizing everything they came across because they can’t help themselves. They are in a constant state of wanting more power over you and no argument goes without an exploitation. Liberals said “never let a good crisis go to waste.” Well, progressives live by the standard never let a good exploitation go to waste. It’s just who they are, and it makes wiser people wonder how they can live their lives that way.
Case in point. Progressives are ranting and fuming at Ginny Thomas over texts she sent to Trump’s then White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows that were recently released. It quickly became the shiny object of exploitation for them. But the point I want to make from the outset is her texts have absolutely nothing to do with her husband Justice Clarence Thomas. His name does not appear, and he was not mentioned, but the progressives are trying to exploit the texts by attacking Ginny in the hopes that their hate-filled smears will land on him.
The subject of the texts is Ginny Thomas believed the 2020 election was stolen, and she asked Meadows to push power lawyer Sidney Powell‘s Kraken theory in the texts. Meadows, for his part, said that the administration would keep fighting.
One of the many audacities of progressives is they think only progressive women are allowed to have an opinion of their own. They are shocked and even miffed that Ginny Thomas is entitled to believe whatever she wants and has the right to act on her beliefs.
Progressives want Justice Thomas to recuse himself from everything and anything that has to do with the January 6 committee or resign from the Supreme Court. But keep in mind, they wanted that from the very beginning. They’re just using his wife’s texts as a cudgel to get him to comply.
Ginny Thomas’ texts to Mark Meadows are not even in the ballpark of reasons for her husband to recuse himself, let alone to resign from the High Court. Who do these people think they are?
I remember when Obamacare came before the Supreme Court. Remember when Chief Justice John Roberts changed his vote at the very last second to keep the disastrous law alive? I’m still wondering what they threatened him with.
Anyway, in that case, there were calls for Justice Elena Kagan to recuse herself, but conservatives certainly didn’t call for her to resign from the Court. Why did conservatives ask for Kagan to recuse herself? Because she had a direct conflict of interest in that case. Prior to then President Barack Obama nominating her for the Supreme Court, Kagan was the US Solicitor General, which is the lawyer of the United States government. Not Barack’s lawyer, but the official lawyer for the United States and the president for all intents and purposes was the United States government. Elena Kagan, as solicitor general, wrote the legal arguments for defending Obamacare in court should a case ever make it to the US Supreme Court. There was no better reason for the Supreme Court justice to recuse herself than that, but she refused to do so. Many people, including me, believe her vote to keep Barack’s signature law in place was the reason he nominated her for the High Court. Prior to that, Kagan was never a judge on any court. You do the math.
The progressives never tried to smear Kagan because they wanted her biased vote. Progressives, like Democrats, love a rigged system.
This nonsense over Ginny Thomas’ texts has nothing to do with her husband and there is nothing illegal about texting the White House chief of staff over the election being stolen.
What about Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) who allegedly had an affair with a communist Chinese spy? Progressives never gave a peep about Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) who employed a communist Chinese spy as her driver for 20 years? Surely they would want to get to the bottom of what information the Chi-Coms got out of those two nitwits. But no. They couldn’t care less. Truth be told, the progressives couldn’t care less about Ginny Thomas’ texts either. They just want to politicize them to their advantage by going after her husband, who had nothing to do with it.
For Justice Thomas, there are no conflicts that arise from his wife’s activities as a US citizen concerned about election fraud.
If the progressives want to play that game, then let’s play. Joe Biden‘s son Hunter implicates him in massive corruption in emails from the laptop that the misinformation news media, and Joe Biden himself, lied about not existing and was Russian disinformation. Should we demand that Joe Biden recuse himself from all government policies and activities or resign from office? Unlike with the Thomas family, at least with the Biden Crime Family, there is a there, there.
