One type of controversy that the Trump family has never been able to avoid is being picked on by progressive Democrats who have no problem abusing the powers of their office to harass and intimidate not only former President Donald Trump but his family and close associates as well. And so far, after what amounts to hundreds of attempts with “gotcha” accusations, big and small, nothing has stuck because the accusations were always bogus to begin with. Trump accusers are now a cult of people who think that they can be the one who will nail Trump. It’s become a pattern of [TARGET TRUMP FAMILY] then [INVENT CRIME] then [TIE FABRICATED CRIME TO TRUMP]. That’s not how the criminal justice system works, but it works for Trump haters.
Conservative Trump supporters joke about a thing called Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), but it’s a real psychosis that plays itself out every time another partisan political hack steps up to the plate in hopes of hitting a Trump out of the ballpark.
Think about this. The Obama administration’s Department of Justice and the intelligence community abused their powers by lying on an application to get a FISA warrant so that they could get into the secretive FISA system so that they could work in secret to attack the Trump campaign in 2016 and then later use false data from Trump’s opponent Hillary Clinton to begin a series of attacks for a Trump-Russia collusion hoax and no one from the Obama administration subpoenaed Barack Obama for his hand in it. The best we have seen so far for such abuses of power is Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the phony dossier that was used to falsely obtain the FISA warrant. The attacks on Trump began six years ago and no Democrat has ever talked about justice for Trump.
Now we have an over ambitious George Soros-funded progressive in high office in New York state targeting Trump’s children in hopes that they will sing against their father. Leftists believe the children won’t “come clean” because the family is likened to a mafia syndicate, while the rest of us understand that there’s nothing there. There never is. Trump is the cleanest politician we have had elected to high office in a very long time. I’m not saying the man is a saint, but I am saying that the Democrats have gone so far as to break laws in their attempts to take him down. Just talk to Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) who has altered documents and faked evidence against Donald Trump on multiple occasions. He was caught fabricating evidence during the phony impeachment hearings and recently during the January 6 committee, and nothing has ever happened to him.
Now, two of the former president’s children are refusing to comply with a subpoena from Attorney General Letitia James‘ office and it has been reported that they are suing to block the motions.
Here’s the thing. This family has gone through so many bogus accusations brought forth by people who wield great power and have used their power to abuse the law, that the Trump family is now calling foul, in particular, against the New York AG.
Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump have denied Letitia James’ subpoena for a civil lawsuit, one that mimics a criminal investigation of the Trump Organization by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
Donald Trump himself, a former President of the United States, has also been subpoenaed by the AG’s office.
“As her investigation into financial dealing of the Trump Organization continues, Attorney General James is seeking interviews under oath of Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump,” a statement from a spokesperson for the attorney general read.
“Despite numerous attempts to delay our investigation by the Trump Organization, we are confident that our questions will be answered and the truth will be uncovered because no one is above the law,” the statement continued.
It irks me quite a bit when you hear political hacks like Letitia James, who has her eye on the governor’s mansion, accuse the Trump’s of acting like they are above the law, when it is they who act like they are above the law when they abuse their powers for partisan political purposes. James wants to be the one so that she can add the takedown of Trump to her arsenal when she runs for governor.
The Manhattan DA’s office has indicted the Trump Organization’s former CFO Allen Weisselberg on tax evasion charges back in July. Weisselberg has pleaded not guilty. His lawyer, Bryan Scarlatos, has said in a statement that Weisselberg’s case is separate from the Trump organization.
“Mr Weisselberg is separate from the Trump Organization. He is the only individual here whose liberty is at stake,” Mr Scarlatos said. “What I am concerned about is that he will become collateral damage in a larger fight between the Trump Organization and the [District Attorney’s] office.”
And yet, the prosecutors are allegedly leaking to the media that Weisselberg’s case is tied to the Trump organization.
When prosecutors cannot find wrongdoing, what they do is go after a smaller fish in the hopes that they will cut a deal by testifying against the main target [Trump].
Speculation from the drooling Trump haters in politics, media, and the like make headlines with statements like this could be the one that takes Trump down. We have seen this dance before and it never produces anything. That’s probably because partisan political witch hunts are usually not based on facts but on emotions of people who suffer from TDS.
