Florida Democrat Nikki Fried Who Is Running For Governor Compared Ron DeSantis With Adolf Hitler

Democrat Nikki Fried, Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner, who has her mind set on taking over Governor Ron DeSantis’s job, has compared the governor to Adolf Hitler. Big lies right out of the gate with this one.

Fried said during an interview with The Florida Roundup, that DeSantis is “doing everything possible to take away power from local governments, taking away people’s abilities to protest, making it harder to vote, talking about … banning books.” She added, “That’s what dictators do.”

The Ag Commish likes to point out that she is the only statewide elected Democrat. Well, there is a reason for that, and that reason is why she will not be the governor of Florida. Floridians these days overwhelmingly reject the garbage that comes with Democrats in charge. Under a Democrat administration, Florida would be locked down, small businesses would be bankrupted, kids would be taught through computer screens, and mask and vaccine mandates would be imposed on everyone.

She claimed that rather than seeking to “govern with the people,” DeSantis is seeking to “govern over the people.” It is always hilarious to hear a Democrat project what their party does as a matter of second nature onto Republicans.

Fried acknowledged her hyperbole saying she doesn’t think things will reach the point of the Nazis but she did say that “the rise of his power and what he did to scapegoat certain parts,” particularly “the Jewish community … and how he utilized … going after the media … taking over the military — that’s what this governor is doing.”

There is a tradition in forums and on social media that, when a Hitler comparison is made, the argument is over and whoever made the comparison loses whatever debate is in progress. This principle is referred to as Godwin’s law.

First off, DeSantis has the support of the Jewish community. While the governor handled the COVID pandemic better than most other states, many Democrats support the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which wants to destroy Israel economically.

Fried has previously tweeted that she is “a proud Jewish woman,” yet many members of her party still support BDS. When the House passed a bill opposing the BDS movement, it divided House Democrats.

DeSantis is seeking reelection during the 2022 Florida gubernatorial election. He is an exceedingly popular figure among Floridians and among conservative voters around the country.

Christina Pushaw, press secretary for the governor, responded to Fried’s accusation, where she compared the governor to Hitler as “sick.”

“If we had an honest media instead of DNC stenographers, reporters would be criticizing @NikkiFried’s dishonest and offensive claim that @GovRonDeSantis is the modern Hitler. Such a comparison trivializes Hitler’s crimes against humanity. This is not funny, it’s sick.”

I believe Fried did that to get the Jewish vote. Democrats will go to any length to pander. I wonder if the agriculture commissioner carries hot sauce in her purse or has a few lines of Spanish she can throw out to an audience?
