Former medical adviser to former President Donald Trump, Dr. Scott Atlas, hit back against accusations from Dr. Deborah Birx, who also worked in the Trump administration, alongside Dr. Anthony Fauci during the COVID-19 pandemic on the White House Task Force.
Parts of congressional testimony from Birx were released on Tuesday where she accused the Trump administration of being distracted by the election on handling COVID. Earlier this month, she stated that 30 percent to 40 percent of the COVID deaths during Trump’s term could have been avoided.
Well, she was one of the science “experts,” the Coordinator of the White House Task Force, working for the Trump administration, which makes her culpable more than the president. Trump did more for the coronavirus pandemic than any past president bar none. No matter how much the Democrats and their boot-licking sycophants in the Fake News media trashed Trump for how he handled COVID, when you read everything that was done during the pandemic by the Trump administration, it is breathtaking.
Birx went on to blame some voices skeptical of social distancing guidelines.
“Do I think that we could have done more on unified messaging coming out of the White House?” Birx asked rhetorically. “Do I think we could have done more on — very early on showing the efficacy of masks? Yes. And I think that would have decreased the confusion.”
Atlas immediately shot back at Birx.
On Tuesday, Atlas said in a statement, “It is an Orwellian attempt to rewrite history to blame those who criticized the lockdowns that were widely implemented for the failure of the lockdowns that were widely implemented.”
“The policy recommendations of Dr. Birx as Coordinator of the White House Task Force were implemented by governors throughout nearly the entire nation during 2020. Those policies failed to stop the dying, failed to stop the infection from spreading, and inflicted massive health damage and destruction, particularly on working class and lower-income families and on our children,” he continued.
“History’s biggest failure of public health policy lies directly at the hands of those who recommended the lockdowns and those who implemented them, not on those who advised otherwise. Period,” he concluded.

Study after study told us during the pandemic that lockdowns were the worst thing we could have done during the pandemic. Birx and Facui didn’t pay attention. The top epidemiologists in the world said that lockdowns helped spread the virus by having people infected with COVID spreading it to their families due to being locked down in the same home.
