His staff stated they don’t know how Cain became infected.
“There is no way of knowing for sure how or where Mr. Cain contracted the DTMNBN-19, but we do know he is a fighter who has beaten Stage 4 cancer,” Cain’s staff posted on social media. “With God’s help, we are confident he will make a quick and complete recovery.”
From HermanCain.com editor Dan Calabrese: “if you wouldn’t mind, pray for our boss”:
Cain was diagnosed in 2006 with stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized to his liver and he was given a 30% probability of survival. He underwent chemotherapy and has been in remission ever since.
Cain, who successfully saved food chains like Burger King and Godfather’s Pizza, and brought them back to profitability and served as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, rose to national prominence in 2012 when he announced he was running to be the Republican presidential nominee. The former presidential candidate had a strong following among Tea Party activists and had a lead in the polls for a while, his campaign was derailed when he was falsely accused of sexual harassment and misconduct during his time as CEO of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s. Cain strongly denied the claims but dropped out of the race, because as he said, at that point he didn’t have the money necessary to fight it.
Cain’s accuser was a woman he never met, who lives in Chicago, a city where Cain never worked.
Incidentally, the woman accuser, who had money troubles, lived in the same building as Obama campaign guy David Axelrod, the man who allegedly got Obama elected to the state senate by having a Democrat judge unseal the sealed divorce papers of his opponent to smear him. What happened to Mr. Cain had Axelrod’s filth all over it. You see, the Democrats just didn’t want America to see a black man running for president for the Republican Party. Over their dead bodies would they let you know that Cain was beloved by Republicans and conservatives. It didn’t fit their narrative.
As soon as Cain dropped out of the race, the woman disappeared, never to be heard from again. The whole thing was a setup.
Following his 2012 presidential bid, Cain launched T.H.E. New Voice, an advocacy group whose main focus is on tax reform, energy policy, and national security, and has become a frequent commentator on news outlets.
Please keep Mr. Cain in your prayers.
