On Monday, rockets were launched into Israel, mostly toward Jerusalem, by Hamas terrorists. Israel Defense Force fired back and Palestinian officials claim twenty people, including nine children, were killed by the Israeli retaliation.
What started it? The Hamas terrorists hardly wasted any time, launching the rockets within minutes after the deadline passed for Israel to withdraw forces from flashpoints in the city.
Hamas took responsibility for the attack and called it retaliation against Israeli “crimes and aggression.”
The Gaza Health Ministry said no fewer than 7 members of a family, including three children, were killed by an explosion in northern Gaza, claiming that it’s not clear the origin of the explosion.
Forty-five rockets in total were fired into Israel, according to Israel Defense Forces, and not all the rockets were aimed at Jerusalem, claiming most were aimed at the south of the country, according to Sky News.
IDR Lt. Colonel Jonathan Conricus labeled it a “very severe assault” and that Israel began attacking Hamas military targets in Gaza, saying it was still to early to confirm reports that children were killed in Gaza. He added that, unlike the terrorists, Israel goes to extreme lengths to avoid civilian casualties.
Israel Defense Forces, after figuring out where a rocket originated from, usually a house in Palestinian territory, will call the dwelling where the rocket was fired and warn the people there that they have about 8 to 10 minutes to get out of the house because they’re going to bomb it. Who else does that? The reason the Israelis give warning is that they know many of the people who own the houses where the rockets are fired are forced by Hamas terrorists into allowing them to use their backyards to set up the rocket launchers.
The spokesman added that there is the distinct possibility that the Hamas rockets misfired.
However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the rocket attacks “crossed a red line”.
“Israel will respond very forcefully. We will not tolerate attacks on our territory, our capital, our citizens, and our soldiers. Whoever strikes us will pay a heavy price,” he said.
A US State Department spokesperson called it an “unacceptable escalation.”
Dominc Raab, the UK foreign secretary, took to social media to condemn the attacks.
“The UK condemns the firing of rockets at Jerusalem and locations within Israel. The ongoing violence in Jerusalem and Gaza must stop. We need an immediate de-escalation on all sides, and end to targeting of civilian populations”

The rockets were fired just minutes after the 6 pm ultimatum created by Hamas passed. The ultimatum demanded the release of all detained Palestinians, the withdrawal of police from the Al Aqsa Mosque, and Jewish settlers removed from an East Jerusalem neighborhood. Jerusalem is Israel’s capital. It would be like Canada telling the US they wanted all Americans removed from Washington, DC, or they will pelt us with flaming hockey pucks.
On Monday morning, there were clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces near the mosque in Jerusalem where it was reported that hundreds of people were injured.
Police fired rubber bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas. Some projectiles landed inside the mosque.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, at least 305 Palestinians worshipping in the mosque were injured and there were at least 228 people taken to the hospital when the clashes ended. Seven were reported to be in critical condition and 21 officers were also injured.
Monday is known as Jerusalem Day, which marks the time Israel took control of the city.
Here’s how it’s always been. From the day that the 1949 Armistice Agreements were signed, the Arabs in the Middle East never excepted Israel as a state. Every time there was a war between Arab state(s) and the state of Israel, it was always the Israelis who were defending themselves in retaliation for unprovoked aggressive attacks by their Arab neighbors.
Back then Arab leaders told their people to leave their homes temporarily because combined Arab forces were going to slaughter all the Jews and when they were gone the people could come back home. Well, it didn’t quite work out that way for the Arab armies after the Israelis kicked their asses to Kingdom come. After the Israelis were victorious, the Arabs who left their homes so that a genocide could be carried out against the Jews, they wanted to move back into their home. The Israelis told them no, and can you blame them? Those people were involved in wanting to kill all the Jews in the Israeli state.
Now, the Arabs, particularly the Palestinians, claim that Israelis are an occupied land. That’s another bald-faced lie. After the Six-Day War, which started on June 5, and ended on June 10, 1967. After multiple Arab states attacked Israel, the Israeli army defeated them in 6 days and took land from each Arab attacker’s country only for defense purposes. Egypt, Syria, and Trans-Jordan attacked Israel again. After Israel won, they took the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the Golan Heights from Syria, and the West Bank from Jordan.
The Israelis have since given back land to Jordan, with oil on it, when they agreed to not attack them again and the peace has been kept. Israel has also given Gaza back for peace, and we’re now seeing what a bargain that was. #EyeRoll

If Middle East peace were up to the Israelis, there would be Middle East peace, but it’s not up to the Israelis. Instead, it’s up to Arab thug dictators who want nothing more than every Israeli Jew dead. And so we continue to have these skirmishes. Isn’t it interesting that this began again soon after the Biden administration came into being? I’m just saying.
