On Friday night’s episode of Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson talked about something very important that answers a lot of questions. If you are a Republican voter and you’ve ever felt that the Republican leadership either isn’t listening to you or they have lost touch with your values, it’s because they are listening to the wrong advisors who are telling them what to say on the “hot topics” of the day.
Carlson reminded us that political parties exist to represent the interests of their voters. There is no other reason for them, and yet year after year on all the issues, the leadership of the Republican Party does not represent what the voters of the party want. How do we know this? Because after years of being ignored by those leaders, the party faithful went ahead in 2016 and elected Donald Trump to the White House just to send a message of what they really cared about. Carlson said, “If that wasn’t a wake-up call, nothing would be.” And now that Trump is gone, the GOP leadership fell asleep again.
He added, “However, it remains true that the priorities of the people who run the Republican Party are very different — in some cases, completely different — from the priorities of the people who vote Republican. Why is that? Well, there are lots of reasons, probably, but Frank Luntz is definitely one of them.” I never liked Luntz, because I always felt there was something wrong with him. I would watch his famous focus groups where he would gather a room of people and ask them what they thought about specific issues. He always appeared to me to be a RINO, and I have always felt that RINO political advisors are bad news for the party, because their advice makes politicians weak.
Tucker went on to say, “For decades, Frank Luntz has told elected Republicans what to say and exactly how to say it. Luntz massages language for politicians. Just this week, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) invited Luntz to Florida for its so-called ‘policy summit,’ where he was asked to weigh in on the ‘hot topics.’ Luntz’s job was to tell Republicans how to think about the most important issues of the day. We didn’t hear the presentation, but there’s no doubt it was compelling.
“Frank Luntz is a smooth salesman. He’s been around for a while. The problem is that Frank Luntz’s views are very different from those of your average Republican voter. Frank Luntz is a conventional liberal. His main clients are left-wing corporations like Google. When Frank Luntz gives advice to congressional Republicans, he’s got Google’s perspective in mind. That’s a huge problem.”
Just hearing that one of Luntz’s clients is Google seals the deal for me. He needs to go, and Republican leadership needs to stop listening to him. Google hates Republicans. They spent millions of dollars trying to defeat them. They changed their algorithms on their search engine to list liberal Democrat results before conservative Republican results. They do it on YouTube as well, demonstrably so.
If we can all find out that Luntz is involved with tech tyrant companies that want to destroy the Republican Party, then why is he still accepted into the Republican establishment? Carlson notes because Luntz is particularly close to House minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) going all the way back to when McCarthy entered politics.
“In an interview earlier this year, Luntz described Kevin McCarthy as a personal friend. That relationship gives Frank Luntz outsized influence over the Republican Party’s policy positions. Take the border crisis. Luntz’s view of immigration is very much like Google’s view of immigration: America needs a lot more of it right away. Anyone who disagrees with that is a racist. Now, rather than simply say that out loud — rather than just make his case, in other words — Frank Luntz slyly dresses up his own personal opinions as a social science.”
The Fox News host explained saying Luntz puts on a focus group of a group of people who have no relevance to anything. “It’s just random people yammering,” Carlson said. “Your ninety-second exchange with the UPS guy this morning meant more than a Frank Luntz focus group. ”
The host goes on to say that on the basis of an irrelevant conversation with the focus group, Luntz forms an opinion to make pronouncements about how the country and how the Republican Party leadership should respond to whatever the issue is at the time of the focus group. It’s almost as if Lynch uses a focus group just to make it appear that his opinion is learned, but he always presents his own views and the views of Google executives to Republican leadership.
The job of Republican leaders is to listen to the people directly, not a Frank Luntz type who gives the Google version of false impressions about what Republican voters really want. They already told you what they want. They want leaders like Trump who don’t cower the minute a Democrat calls them a racist. They don’t want Republican leaders who do the polar opposite of what you demand they do when they represent you.
For example, I am represented by a horrible Republican RINO Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA). This man actually brags about being named one of the most independent members of Congress. If you are “independent,” it means you’re not listening to your voters, and from my own experience, Fitzpatrick is not. To represent your constituency, you need to be partisan, not bipartisan, and not independent. RINOs will say that you have to reach out to the other side and negotiate if you want to get something done. The thing is, we never see Democrats doing that. For Democrats, the word bipartisan means Republicans cave and give them everything they want. We need Republicans to grow a spine and act the same way except really listen to what the voters are telling you they want.
Here is an example of Luntz giving advice on something that is obviously wrong.
“They [Trump voters] believe in immigrants and immigration. They are pro-immigration and honestly, I was a little surprised because of what I see in the media. Trump supporters support the DREAM Act. They support these people, who were brought here through no fault of their own, [having] the ability to earn the path to citizenship … We need these people, we actually have an economy that’s expanding, that’s growing.”
I can tell you right now that is false. The # 1 reason why Republicans and conservatives elected Trump was over building the wall and fixing our immigration system. Sure, there were many other reasons to elect him, but illegal immigration was the top priority. And Trump came through, even though the GOP leadership fought against him all the way. Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) once said on a conference call as Trump was being elected, “I will never support a President Trump,” and he never did. Did you ever you imagine you would hear a Republican Speaker of the House say he would never support a Republican president?
When Trump declared illegal immigration as a national emergency to get funding for the wall, for the first time since presidents were allowed to declare national emergencies, the Republicans in the House and Senate voted to stop him. Trump vetoed them and did it anyway, but it just goes to show that Republicans are not serious about doing what the voters want them to do.
If Ryan had allocated money to build the wall, I believe the Republicans would have kept the House. But he didn’t, because of people like Frank Luntz who advise Republicans that Trump voters support the Dream Act and DACA. And then the open borders and amnesty now groups go and use Luntz’s statements to show even Republican voters support illegal aliens getting citizenship. It’s madness, and it has to stop.
Republican voters sent a clear message to the party leadership when they elected Trump, and now that he’s living in Florida, the leadership thinks it can go back to the way things used to work. Liz Cheney is a prime example of the battle of establishment RINOs fighting the Trump Republican Party. And it is now the Trump Republican Party, whether they like it or not.
I’m sure Frank Luntz is a nice guy, but he’s not the guy Republican leadership should be taking advice.
The only way you can get the Republican Leadership to listen is to stop sending them money. Instead of donating to the RNC, the NRCC, or your RINO representative, donate instead to Donald Trump’s Save America PAC, where he will use your donation to support America First candidates. No more RINOs. Go to DonaldJTrump.com and donate to the PAC there. Maybe the party will start listening to you. Until then, no more money.

I notice a lot of “conservative” websites are not talking about this very important “reveal”. Tucker’s own channel hasn’t highlighted this. This is an epic takedown of another enemy pretending to be a conservative. There’s a long line of them and that is what is wrong with the GOP.
“political parties exist to represent the interests of their DONORS.”
Fixed it.
I Un-Registered from the Voter Rolls on Jan. @1 ,2021 and I will Never vote in this Cabal of a Country again until these PEOPLE are LONG GONE…..Never Again
To get rid of “these people,” become active in your local city and county elections, and urge every Conservative you know to do the same. It’s a lot of work, but if enough Conservatives can take over enough local offices, it can turn it around nationally–but it will be a matter of decades, not just in the next election.
That includes school boards
I beatcha. I did it for Christmas. I’m Independent now and only vote for Trumpsters.
I agree with the article and have quit funding the NRP. But have lost faith in the Donald because he chooses politicians instead of
Patrriots to positions of power. I would recommend he choose from all of the Patriot Bloggers rather than from current elected officials. And I recommend this policy for all conservative voters in both local, State and National elections.
This was a great speech by Tucker. He name names. Very important. I’ m sure that Luntz is steaming today. Root out these RINOS once and for all
There’s a separate issue above whatever Leftist Luntz the dunce tells his clients. Politicians now get most of their money from all the “Bigs”: Big Business, Big Tech, Big Pharma, etc. They also can buy elections with the Magic Dominion Vote Machines, giving them whatever winning margin they want–as Biden did. Bottom line: Politicians no longer need We the People for donations nor for our votes, so we can only be a threat to them. That’s why they are gradually taking our freedoms from us: To keep us defenseless and harmless to them.
It’s more like they go to DC to “do good” and then stick around for years to instead “do well” and retire as multi-millionaires.
Overall a very nice commentary however, and it seems almost all conservative leaning people seem to do this, the author adds towards the end of the article “I’m sure Frank Luntz is a nice guy, but…”. I must politely disagree. He knows what he’s doing and what he’s doing is actively and purposefully undermining republicans and conservatives through a faux facade. To put it bluntly he is a manipulative charlatan who espouses that his polls imply a predetermined results and claims to have numbers / math / science support his conclusions. I’m sorry but call him what he is. A liar who bows to the highest bidder. This is not a “nice guy”.
Thank You!…Finally, a truthful assessment, of what seems totally obvious, to me. I was kinda feeling out in left field. Need to weed out, all the mealy-mouthed, namby pamby politicians who give lip service, but no results & almost never represent their constituents, after the token “meet & greet” sessions.
If a candidate does not teach, support and at least try to live Biblical values, then don’t vote for them.
In another words Retardicans are SPINELESS. Something we knew and suspected for a long while. Scaredy little white men.
Even as Trump did everything what his diluant advisors told him and promptly went tales (accusaations) between the legs and went home.
Republicans ignored our vote being stolen, don’t vote for them or give them any money, I hope they get creamed in 2022, because it doesn’t matter anymore, they didn’t stand up for us, they are part of the DC cartel, they have their own little club and they don’t want anyone to ruin their little scam, only if the good people rise up, will things change, but that’s not going to happen, we can’t even depend on the military brass anymore (not talking about the soldiers)
Look, we get it. It’s obvious how pervasive the fraud wS, not just because we watched it all happen but how the Republicans – who should have been unhinged and through the roof pissed off at the blatant law-breaking that was going on before, during and after the election….instead went all but deadpan silent and pretended to act herpy-derp stupid in the face of obvious and in-your-face criminality.
It’s because they were in on it.
Remember the movie The Matrix? The red and the blue pill? The entire movie was an allegory to the political system we live in. The entire concept of the Matrix was that human beings would be more likely to accept what was shown to them if they believed that they had a choice – only unbeknownst to the people in it – they were caught up in a system where they in fact did not have control.
The Republicans have not been a genuine opposition party in many years. Despite the electoral wins they had over the past three decades, they have purposefully squandered opportunity after opportunity and done everything they could to undermine their own base. It’s because they are the Washington Generals of politics and the democrats are the Globetrotters. They put on a show – but both sides are in agreement as to who is going to win….and it’s NOT US.
I agree. The Elite are a small group but they control all money, our food supply, basically everything we do and they are world-wide so any Party affiliation is not relevant. Fitzpatrick is my rep too and I had hoped he would be primaried but unfortunately he won. He rode in on his brother’s name, but the suburbs of Phila are nothing but brainwashed college-educ people who have no clue what is going on. A lot of them supported Trump but they aren’t aware why they did. I hope for a new day and party that represents our constitution and our rights.
