Spin from politicians and their minions is one thing, but gaslighting is entirely something else. It’s one thing to say a policy you’re pushing will help person X, Y, and Z, and the other side disagrees. That’s politics. But when you gaslight people you’re just straight-up lying and it’s despicable.
On Friday during a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeated a gaslighting lie about critical race theory (CRT) being taught to our children as being nothing more than teaching normal history.
Philip Wegmann, White House reporter for RealClearPolitics asked, “The president is obviously a big fan of education. The first lady is a teacher. She’s a union teacher. I’m wondering, what are the president’s thoughts on anti-racism curriculum in the classroom?”
“The president is obviously a big fan of education. The first lady is a teacher. She’s a union teacher. I’m wondering, what are the president’s thoughts on anti-racism curriculum in the classroom,” RealClearPolitics White House reporter Philip Wegmann asked.
Psaki responded to the question by saying that the United States is still systemically racist and that needs to be acknowledged through our government-monopolized schools.
“The president believes that in our history, there are many dark moments. And there is not just slavery and racism in our history, there is systemic racism that is still impacting society today,” she said.
Of course, no one from the Biden administration ever goes into the details of systemic racism. They just point to a system, an organization, a law, etc., and they say it’s a result of systemic racism without ever having to explain how. And they get away with it. That’s because we have an incredibly dishonest news media industry.
For example, the Biden administration believes in what’s called “disparate impact” which is another way of saying racism in our laws is the reason white people have better lives than black people in America. First of all, who says that all white people have better lives than all black people? The Left does, and it’s ignorantly ridiculous. There are too many successful black Americans to make such an assumption.
Using the concept of disparate impact, progressives will look at a suburban neighborhood and compare it to an urban neighborhood and claim that because the suburban neighborhood is doing so much better than the neighborhood in a big city, it must be because of a disparate impact caused by systemic racism.
Forget the fact that both areas have absolutely nothing in common and neither one affects the other, and forget the fact that 54 percent of black Americans already live in the suburbs, progressives in the Biden administration have pointed to disparate impact and have come up with plans to force suburban townships to end single-family home construction and the federal government is going to build Section 8 housing projects smack dab in the center of your suburban neighborhood. Oh, you didn’t know they were doing that? You can thank our totally dishonest news media for keeping you in the dark.
Forget also that Democrats have run most big cities for decades, some a hundred years, so if there’s systemic racism built into a city’s system it’s their fault, right? Wrong says the progressive Left. It’s because of the systemic racism of white people except for leftist progressive politicians. That’s how it works.
This is why it’s important to stop the crazy progressives from getting away with lies about disparate impact and critical race theory. Their solutions will provide nothing but real-world chaos for everyone.
Psaki had the gall to respond to concerns of parents around the country who are distrustful of Marxist indoctrination of their children in their schools by insisting that she and President House Plan are parents who believe “that kids should learn about our history.”
That was a disingenuous statement at best. First of all, Joe Biden’s youngest child is 40-years-old, so he’s not concerned if his daughter or Hunter for that matter learns anything inside a public school classroom.
“As a spouse of an educator and as somebody who continues to believe that children should learn not just the good, but also the challenging in our history, and that’s part of what we’re talking about here, even as it’s become politically charged,” Psaki said.
Here’s the problem I have with that. In the United States, we teach all of our history. No one tries to withhold American history from being taught in our schools even the dark parts like slavery and Jim Crow and black codes and pig laws and segregation and the Ku Klux Klan. One of the problems with that is they don’t teach students that all of that came from the Democratic Party. Instead, they teach our kids that “America” is responsible. This is why I think it is ludicrous to have members of the Democratic Party today tell us that all of America is systemically racist for the evils of what that political party did to black people over its history.
Critical race theory is not history. It’s a bastardization of our history. It teaches that white people are guilty of racism even if they don’t know it. It teaches white children that they should be ashamed of their race. It teaches that white people are born racist, which is the exact definition of racism.
Race hustlers are now publicly responding to the CRT backlash by insulting parents complaining about critical race theory by telling them they don’t know what CRT really is. The real problem is they most certainly do know what CRT is, and it is teaching children to be racist.
For example, the racist lady on MSNBC while arguing in favor of CRT said that Ibram X. Kendi’s book “How to Be an Antiracist” was not critical race theory, giving the impression that his work should not be objected to by parents for that very reason. Forget the fact that she endorses CRT in the first place.
However, in just one example, Kendi argues without any evidence that “white women” are the “primary beneficiaries” of “affirmative-action programs.” That myth Kendi espoused came from a paper published by the critical race theorist Kimberlé Crenshaw in 2006 that contains no data or empirical evidence whatsoever. She just wrote it and people like Kendi just believed it, because it falls in line with the Marxist narrative.
Kendi’s book, among other things, says that to make up for past racism we need present racism, and to counter present racism we need future racism. Translated, that means the government needs to officially sanction anti-white racist policies to make up for white racism from the past, the present, and the future.
These are the kind of people the Biden administration wants to teach your children.
CRT has become a real wake-up call in America. Who would have guessed that in open public display the Left would be pushing racism while the Right is pushing racial inclusion in the manner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? Of course, conservatives knew this to be the case all along but our dishonest news media and our dishonest politicians have kept many people thinking it was the other way around.
The Biden administration is coming out with these comments less than a week after the largest teachers union, boasting over 2 million members, the National Education Association (NEO) said they are going to fight back against people who oppose the racist critical race theory being taught in schools.
According to a survey recently polled, most teachers said they are opposed to teaching critical race theory to their course instruction.
As state legislators voice their apprehensions of critical race theory and work to pass laws banning it from public school classrooms, the NEA is repeating its support for the radical leftist racist ideology.
Publicly (through existing media) convey its support for the accurate and honest teaching of social studies topics, including truthful and age-appropriate accountings of unpleasant aspects of American history, such as slavery, and the oppression and discrimination of Indigenous, Black, Brown, and other peoples of color, as well as the continued impact this history has on our current society. The Association will further convey that in teaching these topics, it is reasonable and appropriate for curriculum to be informed by academic frameworks for understanding and interpreting the impact of the past on current society, including critical race theory.
Critical race theory taught in our schools will destroy future generations of Americans by getting them to hate themselves and hate their country. Black people do better in the United States than anywhere else on earth. They should try to focus from that standpoint rather than try to tear the country apart.
