Vice President Kamala Harris actually brought race into the subject of trees when she asked NASA if the agency could use satellites to track trees “by race” in varied neighborhoods as part of “environmental justice” during a recent exhibit on climate change, which automatically triggered many to mock the Veep. Even the hashtag #BlackTreesMatter was born.
Anything with the word “justice” behind it, in the manner the Woke Left uses it, is awful. It’s like “equity” in that government forcefully takes from one group of people to give to another. That is what they mean when they use the term justice. It means you somehow stole something from other people’s ancestors and it’s the government’s job to steal it back for them. It means equal outcome instead of equal opportunity, and it’s unamerican.
Harris is the National Space Council chair (snicker) and on Friday she made a visit to the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, “to see vital climate science work.”
Just for context, Harris is also the border czar. It took her months to visit the southern border and when she did, she landed about 50 miles away from any of the chaos and mayhem she and her boss, President Joe Biden, created and are responsible for.
While Harris met with scientists to get a firsthand look-see at how the climate is studied by the space program and an understanding of how the program provides data concerning planetary changes and their impact, the vice president proclaimed, “I truly believe space activity is climate action.” Of course she does, because climate change is the ultimate goal of leftists who want to spend more of your tax dollars on nonsense.
Jake Schneider, Deputy Director of Rapid Response at Republican National Committee (RNC), took to social media to show when Harris interrupted a presentation in order to show the people there here general wokeness.
“Can you measure trees — part of that data that you are referring to, [and it’s an issue of] EJ, environmental justice — that you can also track by race their averages in terms of the number of trees in the neighborhoods where people live?”

The presenter should have said, in the snarkiest fashion possible, “Can I finish?”
The video went viral with over a million views as of Sunday afternoon. Many Twitter users used her comments to mock the Veep.
“Understanding that homeowners plant more trees than municipal governments isn’t rocket science. Now they want suburban homeowners to pony up the $$ to plant trees n where residents and governments never bothered.”

Lavern Spicer, Republican candidate for #FL24 gave the Veep’s interruption the mockery it deserves.
“She bout to say the fried chicken trees are in the black neighborhoods.”

Here’s the thing. The premise that climate change is even real, let alone is caused by mankind, was the whole point of the watermelons (people who are green on the outside and socialist red on the inside) for decades. Now, they are claiming racism among trees is the problem. The Woke are lunatics who will find racism in everything, including trees.
I grew up in Philadelphia, PA. We had plenty of trees in my neighborhood. We had a big old tree smack dab in front of my parent’s house. Our neighborhood was lined with trees that went a dozen blocks long.
Furthermore, the Democratic Party has run most of the major cities for decades, some a hundred years. They are the ones who turned once great cities like Detroit, Chicago, Camden, Oakland, Cleveland, St. Louis, Newark and, yes, my beloved Philadelphia and many more into places of poverty and crime where we see the same things in every one of them: high drug and alcohol abuse, high government dependency, high property crime rates, large high school drop-out rates, high gun violence and more. And it’s all because of decades of progressive Democrat policies.
According to The Atlantic in an intended dis at candidate Donald Trump:
“Elizabeth Kneebone, a fellow at the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution, looked at numbers from the 2010 to 2014 American Community Survey and found that 39 percent of African Americans live in the suburbs, 36 percent live in cities, 15 percent live in small metropolitan areas, and 10 percent live in rural communities. That’s a noticeable shift from 2000, when 41 percent of African Americans lived in cities, 33 percent lived in suburbs, 15 percent lived in small metro areas, and 11 percent lived in rural communities.”
The point is, if Democrats ran the big cities in America for decades, how come they never did anything about trees in minority neighborhoods for all of that time? When you look at the poverty and destruction of many of the neighborhoods in those cities, you come to realize that the Democrats never really did anything good for the people who have been unfortunately stuck in them.
