On Tuesday, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), the #3 Republican in the House, said that the GOP must “make clear that we aren’t the party of white supremacy,” warning that the January 6 attack on the US Capitol must not be “minimized or trivialized.”
That is a typical response by a RINO Republican. Instead of giving the Republican-hating mainstream news media new headlines with her name and the term “white supremacy” what she should have done is said how absurd the Democrats and the Left are to make such a claim.
Cheney talked about the Capitol riot that happened on January 6 during an interview with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute, saying, “It’s very important for us to ignore the temptation to look away. It’s very important, especially for us as Republicans, to make clear that we aren’t the party of white supremacy.”
“You saw symbols of Holocaust denial, for example, at the Capitol that day,” Cheney continued. “You saw the Confederate flag being carried through the rotunda, and I think we as Republicans, in particular, have a duty and an obligation to stand against that, to stand against insurrection.”
Let’s be clear. Out of the thousands of people who were there that day there was one, possibly two Confederate flags seen in videos, and Cheney, like her brethren on the Left, decided to focus on that rather than the hundreds of American flags and pro-Trump flags.
The congresswoman, who survived a vote to kick her out of leadership after she joined the Democrats and voted to impeach President Donald Trump for allegedly inciting an insurrection, also took a shot at the former president.
According to The Hill‘s dictation, Cheney said:
“It’s incumbent upon everybody who takes an oath of office and swears to protect and defend the Constitution that we recognize what happened on Jan. 6, that we commit ourselves that it must never happen again, that we recognize the damage that was done by the president, President Trump, saying that somehow the election was stolen, making those claims for months and summoning the mob and provoking them then in the attack on the Capitol. And also, and very importantly, in refusing, despite multiple requests from people to ask him to stop what was happening to ask him to stop the violence to protect the Capitol to protect the counting of electoral votes — he didn’t do so.”
I never took this woman for a fool… until now. It is insufferable to listen to RINOs like her tell falsehoods like this. President Trump felt the election was stolen from him. 74 million voters, including this guy, felt the election was stolen from him. Trump simply exercised his Constitutional rights to demand election integrity and it seemed that hardly anyone in the GOP, including Liz Cheney, cared one iota about a presidential election that was more-than-likely stolen.
Even now Cheney is once again going along with the lies of the Democrats. Trump did not provoke mob violence. If I can find out that the FBI warned Congressional leadership days before January 6 that violence was being pre-planned on social media by groups from the Left and the Far Right, then how come the third-ranking Republican in the House cannot? Trump had nothing to do with inciting violence.
She said in her statement, “And also, and very importantly, in refusing, despite multiple requests from people to ask him to stop what was happening to ask him to stop the violence to protect the Capitol to protect the counting of electoral votes — he didn’t do so.”
That is a bald-faced lie. Liz Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House, lied when she said that. When Trump was told that violence broke out he posted numerous times to social media and posted two videos asking for calm, asking for people to respect law enforcement, asking for them to go home. The tech tyrants deleted his communications. If anything, Cheney should be looking at social media companies who censored the president’s calls for peace and calm because they interfered in that and are possibly responsible for more violence by removing Trump’s calls for calm. How could Liz Cheney miss that if the rest of us saw it?
Here are just two of the tweets that Trump posted that were almost immediately removed by the tech tyrants so that no one would know that Trump called for calm.
Why did Liz Cheney ignore these?
Here’s a video where Trump called for peace and for people to go home.
Why did Liz Cheney ignore this video?
The New York Times reported that Cheney also attacked Trump’s “America First” foreign policy, claiming that America First policies are “just as dangerous today as they were in 1940 when isolationists launched the America First movement to appease Hitler and prevent America from aiding Britain in the fight against the Nazis.”
She added, “Isolationism was wrong and dangerous then and it is wrong and dangerous now.”
Again, Cheney told lies. Donald Trump said numerous times at rallies and in speeches elsewhere that America First does not mean America alone. It means our policies should be about taking care of America first and then helping the rest of the world. Putting America last and other countries first is how the globalists have done things and Trump came along recognizing that. American workers by the millions lost their jobs because of globalist policies that sent them overseas. We gave sweetheart deals to other countries that screwed Americans, so much so that a new class of the Forgotten Men and Women of America was formed. Trump said no more.
It is highly insulting to equivocate nationalist policies like America First with appeasing Hitler. Good God, what is wrong with this woman?
Anyone who watches that video and comes out of it still thinking America First is about isolationism is an idiot.
Liz Cheney defines everything that is wrong with the DC swamp. She needs to go, and I pray that the good people of Wyoming see that that happens by putting up a primary candidate who can defeat her.
