If Mitch McConnel, the Senate Majority Leader, for now, believed that breaking ranks with the party by acknowledging Joe Biden as the president-elect would distance himself and Republicans from President Donald Trump’s claims of massive election fraud in the key battleground states, then he has seriously underestimated the typical MAGA supporter.
MAGA is a movement that is not just about Trump. The president himself has said this at many a rally, and it seems like the establishment Republicans still don’t understand what’s happening to the party. The GOP is now a MAGA party and that’s not going away. America First populist nationalism is a real thing that is catching on around the world. If McConnell and other RINOs think it’s just a flash in the pan, then they are more out of touch than anyone initially suspected.
The Majority Leader’s actions triggered an avalanche of recriminations of subversion and treachery by high profile Trump/MAGA supporters on social media and from voters who suspect that the establishment Republicans are, as usual, closing ranks. They see the establishment leadership as abandoning the MAGA movement, and that, at least according to the MAGA crowd, will lead to their own demise.
Blake Marnell, has hosted Trump rallies on Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), a new news network shown on YouTube, a network that was started because the Fake News media would never show the entire crowd at a Trump rally. They would hone the cameras in to just what was in front of the stage to give the appearance that there weren’t as many people attending as there really were. RSBN would pan the entire rally crowd, and they became beloved because of it. They now cover just about every political event that concerns Trump and/or the Republican Party.
Marnell believes Trump still has multiple paths to win his second term.
“If I have a choice of keeping President Trump or keeping Mitch McConnell, at this point, it’s the president,” Marnell said.
The host’s comments embody how Trump has brought about an army of loyal supporters who think of themselves as Trump supporters first and foremost, and as Republicans second. The angered responses to McConnell’s perceived treason to them highlights how the establishment must deal with the new makeup of party members during the next Midterm election cycle. They are not going away, and this new breed of Republicans do not accept being pushed aside and not listened to by the very people they elect to office. They are engaged and they demand to be recognized for their input to save the country.
Mitch isn’t a complete fool. He sees and understands that the base of the party has become a Trump party, and because of this, McConnell came under criticism from the Left for not congratulating Biden for his felonious voter-fraud-ridden victory.
The day after the Electoral College (unconstitutionally) confirmed Biden’s win, McConnell caved. I say unconstitutionally because there are multiple lawsuits and investigations going on for the massive election fraud that took place, and the Democrat Electors in those states involved should not have voted. Granted, they had the right to do so, but it’s all the more an attack on decent Americans who know that their votes were undermined by election fraud.
“The Electoral College has spoken. So, today, I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden,” McConnell said from the floor of the Senate.
It has been reported that McConnell has asked fellow Republican senators to no join Trump’s attempts to overturn the election results due to election fraud. This alone should be reason enough to primary McConnell out, because things like that demoralize the party faithful when they hear about it, and we are on the brink of losing our republic if the two Republicans in a runoff election in Georgia lose those races.
The Majority Leader’s words brought a stinging indictment from the president himself:
“Trump’s allies slam Mitch McConnell for congratulating Biden https://mol.im/a/9057747 via @MailOnline. Mitch, 75,000,000 VOTES, a record for a sitting President (by a lot). Too soon to give up. Republican Party must finally learn to fight. People are angry!”
What angers me particularly is that President Trump is the reason why only one Republican lost their seat in the Senate. That’s 23 Republicans who were up for reelection, and they started the race with a slight majority in the first place. All but one rode Trump’s coattails, and I believe there was election fraud that caused Marth McSally to lose her seat. The same happened in the House. Not a single Republican lost their seat, and in fact, thanks to the POTUS’s coattails, the GOP gained seats in the House.
In fact, that outcome is what angers Trump supporters the most. The down ballot did exceptionally well across the country, but the top of the GOP ticket supposedly lost? That fact alone should have every Republican in Congress out fighting the election fraud for the president. But instead, McConnell turned on Trump and made it public.
Some popular people in the MAGA movement chimed in on social media to let Mitch know of their distaste for what he did.
The establishment Republicans saw Trump as an outlier and the Democrats saw him as a disrupter. He was both, and the party better learn right quick that they will not be allowed to go back to business as usual where they make sweetheart deals with corporations that will end up helping the globalist elites while screwing over millions of American workers.
