With all the revelations that conservative news sites have talked about concerning Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals, specifically his very lucrative deal in Ukraine, you have to ask yourself could it possibly get any worse? And, oh yeah, it just got worse.
Hunter’s father, Joe Biden, who was then the vice president, said he had no knowledge of his son’s foreign business affairs. He even went so far as to say that he never even talked to his son about his foreign business deals. Of course, we knew from the very beginning that that was a lie, because of simple circumstantial evidence that came long before the material evidence we now can see. The circumstantial evidence was Hunter Biden got very lucrative deals with foreign countries that had ties to foreign governments when he had no experience whatsoever in the fields he was hired, and it all happened just as his father became vice president.
A newly declassified memo reveals that US diplomats in Ukraine actually warned the then Vice President Joe Biden’s office about evidence of corruption encompassing the corrupt Burisma Holdings gas company founder Mykola Zlochevsky in late December of 2015.
“The short unclas version (in non lawyer language) is that US and UK were cooperating on a case to seize his corrupt assets overseas (which had passed through the US),” he added. “The case fell apart when individuals in the PGO [the Ukrainian prosecutor-general’s office] acted to thwart the UK case.”
Hunter was placed on the board of Burisma in April of 2014, about a year and a half prior.
He was on the board up until April 2019, after political pressure from the Trump administration forced him to step down, which was around the time his corrupt father launched a presidential bid.
Not long after Hunter was put on the Burisma board, Ukraine’s corrupt Prosecutor General (PG), which is the equivalent to our Attorney General, was bribed to ignore the case, and he did. Who bribed him? By 2015, after much pressure was applied, that corrupt PG was fired and replaced with one who was more serious about the investigation. His name was Viktor Shokin.
The memo came out before Biden visited Ukraine back in December of 2015. During that trip the vice president applied pressure on the then Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, and his administration to fire the PG who was investigating Joe’s son’s firm, Burisma Holdings. It was around that time that the prosecutor was going to bring Hunter into his office for questioning.
The memo suggests that the corrupt State Department was supporting Biden’s effort to cover for Hunter, although some top officials, such as diplomat George Kent, had privately communicated their concerns that Hunter’s being there posed a conflict of interest and undermined foreign policy.
It was recently discovered that other documents, including some found on Hunter’s laptop, shows that Joe Biden himself allegedly met with a high-ranking representative from Burisma in the Spring of 2019.
Hunter admitted just last week that he was made aware of an investigation that had been ongoing for about two years, involving his work at Burisma surrounding efforts to hide $400,000 in profits on his tax forms for 2014.
Biden used the same talking points for years, mainly that Hunter’s work for Burisma was in the private sector and didn’t affect foreign policy, even though we now know that Burisma gave Hunter the board position, despite the fact that he had absolutely no experience in the natural gas industry, the energy sector, or even anything about Ukraine, because they had corruption problems of their own and they wanted Joe Biden to help them out of it, because then President Barack Obama made Biden the point man to week out corruption in Ukraine. At that point the only corruptocrats who would be thwarted were those who didn’t grease the right palms.
Biden lied about his push to have the prosecutor who was investigating Hunter’s firm fired by claiming it was because Shokin was corrupt.
Biden’s prepared talking points were, “Important strides have been made, the appointment of a Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor and the establishment of an independent Inspector General to prosecute corrupt prosecutors are two good ones.” He said this just four months before Shokin was fired.
“But much more needs to be done and we will continue to encourage everyone involved to commit to meaningful reforms,” it said. It was all lies and platitudes.
There was an audio recording that was leaked of a phone conversation between then Vice President Biden and then Ukrainian President Poroshenko where the Ukrainian president informed Biden, with Poroshenko going out of his way to state that even though they had found no evidence of corruption, he asked for Shokin’s resignation and that he accepted it. Poroshenko only fired Shokin because Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in US military aid, telling Poroshenko he was going to withhold the money unless he fired Shokin. The vice president of the United States leveraged money that was approved by the US Congress, for a personal gain for his son.
