In what hopefully will be a warning sign to other blue cities and states run by some of the most radical leftist lunatic Democrats we’ve ever seen, supposed leaders who let rioters, ANTIFA terrorists, and BLM run rampant through their streets, the federal government has denied Minnesota governor Tim Walz’s request for funding to rebuild Minneapolis after they allowed riots to destroy the city he and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey were elected to protect and to maintain law and order. Like so many other Democrat leaders across the country, they failed miserably.
You can bet that more governors and mayors will be pleading with the feds for a bailout, cities like Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, Washington, DC, and others who also not only allowed but encouraged rioters to destroy their cities. They also continually lied to us by referring to looters, rioters, and murderers as “peaceful protesters.” Many of those cities ordered the police to stand down and look the other way, enabling and encouraging the rioters to destroy anything they wanted, loot whatever shops they wanted, and beat whomever they wanted.
I think they have a lot of gall to ask for money from the rest of the country because that’s where federal money comes from. We all sat in horror and watched Democrat mayors and governors allow their cities to burn. In fact, I think the federal government should bill them for federal statues that were destroyed on the mayors’ watch.
From the Minneapolis Star Tribune:
Walz asked President Donald Trump to declare a “major disaster” for the state of Minnesota in his request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on July 2. More than 1,500 buildings were damaged by fires, looting and vandalism in the days of unrest that followed Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis police custody, racking up more than $500 million in damages, according to Walz.
The governor’s spokesman, Teddy Tschann, confirmed late Friday that the request for federal aid was denied.
“The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Tschann said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”
Republican Minnesota U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer on Thursday sent a letter to Trump in response to Walz’s aid request, asking for a “thorough and concurrent review” of the state’s response to the unrest so that “every governor, mayor and local official can learn from our experiences” and prevent such a situation from happening again.
“If the federal government is expected to assist in the clean-up of these unfortunate weeks, it has an obligation to every American — prior to the release of funding — to fully understand the events which allowed for this level of destruction to occur and ensure it never happens again,” Emmer wrote.
Learn from their experiences? There’s nothing to learn. They willfully allowed their cities to be destroyed.
The Democrat governors and mayors are responsible for the destruction, the murders, and the mayhem brought down on their cities. The rest of the country is not going to pay for it.
