“Thank you for proudly and prominently displaying your signs of political support!” the handwritten letter begins. “These symbols make it impossible for us to ignore how you truly feel about us as your neighbors.” They signed the letter, “your neighbors who dare to be different.”
How ironic is that? These pinhead neighbors are virtue signaling a family in the neighborhood they claim is against people being different while they are attacking someone for being different. That’s typical left-wing projectionism.
Webster’s Dictionary defines bigotry as the following:
noun, plural big·ot·ries.
- stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one’s own.
- the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot.
Benson took to social media to respond to the note by tweeting, “The bad people here are those who wrote/approved this trash. The author(s) should look at themselves.”
The letter goes on, “They make abundantly clear to those of us who are women, people of color, immigrants and those who may worship or love differently than you that you simply do not care about us at all.”
The neighbors voiced their opinion that their neighbor isn’t capable of compassion all because of the Trump sign in their yard.
“We know that in our times of need, if we are scared or hurting, we cannot turn to you for help because you hold no charity or grace in your heart for us,” the letter continued.
These bigots actually quoted the “Declaration of Independence,” and accused their neighbors of being intolerant. Meanwhile, that’s exactly what they were doing by judging their neighbors who simply support a candidate they do not. That’s the very definition of intolerance.
“You make it clear by these signs that you neither respect us as humans nor believe we are entitled to equal protections and rights under the laws of this great country. You do not believe that we deserve life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness, that we are not really Americans to you, simply because we may not look like you or share your beliefs. So again, thank you for showing us the prejudice and hate that truly fills your heart and telling us so proudly that although you may be our neighbor, we are not equally yours.”
They got all of that from a sign in the yard. This is the result of four years of non-stop lies told by Democrats and their boot-licking sycophants in the news media. The truth is that Trump and his administration have fought hard to bring back the rights that past administrations have take away from them, and it is the Democrats, who I assume the letter writers are aligned with, who no longer believe in civil rights, Constitutional rights, or any other kind of right for anyone who isn’t of their wokety woke woke ideology.
The closed-minded neighbors then added a “P.S.” at the end, where they questioned their neighbor’s faith in God.
“P.S. If you believe yourself to be a Christian (which we assume is also likely) thank you for further proving that you do not hold true Christian values or follow the teaching of Christ, who preached love and acceptance for all your neighbors. We sure hope you enjoy the heat!”
Wow, political and religious litmus tests. Great to see them showing “love and acceptance” for all of the neighbors they so obnoxiously accused of not having all over a sign.
Trump-Pence 2020 campaign senior advisor Mercedes Schlapp was appalled by the note.
“Very disturbing and shows the intolerance and moral judgment of the left. We live in a free America and we will not be silenced!” she wrote.
By Saturday afternoon, Benson tweeted an update to the letter on Twitter that the pro-Trump neighbor with a yard sign was also the first in her family to be born in America from a legal immigrant Mexican-American family.
“Yes, she’s the first in her family to be born in America. Both of her parents came from Mexico, went through the process to become legal citizens. They love America and all that it stands for. All proud Trump supporters. What’s worse, she is a very successful single mother of three boys. Whoever wrote this probably has kids that go to school with her boys. It’s just sad. Now she is concerned her boys will be harassed.”
That’s the real difference between leftists and conservatives. The Left claims conservatives are racist and that’s why they are against illegal immigration. Truth be told, most conservatives I know couldn’t care less about who you are or where you come from so long as you come into the country legally and you want to be an American. Conservatives welcome legal immigrants with open arms. To the contrary, liberals seem to only love immigrants they believe will vote with them and become dependent on their oppressive form of government social services.
This is the tolerant Left that we’ve heard so much about, people who believe in the right to be different, but only if you subscribe to their intolerant political viewpoints. These bigoted neighbors did exactly what they accused the single mother of being and doing, and I’m willing to bet they’re too ignorant to see it, and even if they did, they would more-than-likely do not an ounce of introspection in an attempt to to figure out how they became so narrow-minded and hateful.
