In a surprise move, the woke Netflix has suspended three employees, including a person who identified as transgender and queer (a member of the Alphabet People), for crashing an executive meeting to express their opposition to comedian Dave Chappelle’s jokes about transgender people during a comedy show.
Terra Field, the trans queer Karen, had also criticized Netflix in a lengthy tirade on Twitter.
I guess transgender queers don’t want to be considered part of the mainstream after all. When comedians start making fun of you, it means you have arrived. Comedians, at least the funny ones, aren’t going to waste their precious stage time on groups of people who nobody cares about, because that would just be mean. That would make you a late night TV host. And for anything to be funny, there has to be a little truth to what the comedian is saying.
Many in that community want you to think they are a group of victims who have no power when the truth of the matter is the transgender/queer community has gained so much power, with the help of political whores in the Democratic Party, that these people thought nothing would come from their behavior. They thought, like in most scenarios, Netflix executives would hold their tongues and smile at news cameras as they made excuses for why a group of angry mental patients stormed the castle and they would apologize for doing absolutely nothing wrong.
On Monday, Netflix said they suspended the employees for interrupting an executive meeting that had an audience of around 500 people and not because they voiced their hostility against a comedy special. It’s important that part is understood by all. Activists will want to say the employees were suspended because they’re transgender/queer or support transgender/queer and that is not the truth at all. If they were employees who bursted into an executive meeting to complain about Netflix giving the worst president [Obama] of our history (until Joe Biden) a show on the platform, they too would have been suspended.
“It is absolutely untrue to say that we have suspended any employees for tweeting about this show. Our employees are encouraged to disagree openly and we support their right to do so,” a Netflix spokesperson told Variety.
Activists just need to know there is a time and place for everything. You can’t really blame them, though. Leftists have been getting away with outrageous outcries of victimhood for far too long. Remember when the BLM girls seized the microphone from Bernie Sanders back in the 2015 during the 2016 presidential campaign? Of course he did nothing about it because he’s a weak, spineless old Marxist, but the American people are getting tired of the arrogance of leftists who think that everyone has to bow down to their demands.
Field claimed in the Twitter tirade that comments like those from Chappelle led directly to transgender people of color being murdered. But not Chapelle’s jokes. That’s the important distinction that leftists need a hard lesson. You hold people responsible for their own actions. Even if someone killed a transgender person after watching Chapelle’s special, the comedian never told anyone to bring harm to the Alphabet People. The person responsible is the one who committed the crime.
“What we object to is the harm that content like this does to the trans community (especially trans people of color) and VERY specifically Black trans women. People who look like me aren’t being killed,” tweeted Field.
Get over it. It’s still a free country.
Field went over a list of 38 transgender people who were murdered before saying, “These are the people that a callous disregard for the lives of trans people by our society have taken from us, and they all deserved better.”
But the 38 on the list were not murdered because of Chappelle’s comedy special.
Even though some leftists created an outcry for justice, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos defended Chapelle’s comedy special.
“Chapelle is one of the most popular stand-up comedians today, and we have a long-standing deal with him. His last special ‘Sticks & Stones,’ also controversial, is our most watched, stickiest and most award-winning stand-up special to date,” Sarandos wrote in a memo obtained by Variety.
“As with our other talent, we work hard to support their creative freedom — even though this means there will always be content on Netflix some people believe is harmful,” he added.
