New York Gov. Kathy Hochul Declares State of Emergency While Having Zero, Zip, Nada, No Cases of Omicron Variant

New York state has declared a state of emergency over the Omicron COVID variant, even though all of New York’s sampled cases in the last two weeks were of the Delta variant. It appears the Democrats have stepped up the hyping of this variant and it’s frightening to try to figure out what they are up to this time around.

Governor Kathy Hochul took to social media to let her people know the sky is in fact, falling.

“We continue to see warning signs of spikes in COVID this winter, and while the new Omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York State, it’s coming,” Hochul said in a tweet on Friday.

“Today I signed an Executive Order to help @HealthNYGov boost hospital capacity ahead of potential spikes,” she announced:

“The executive order, in effect until at least January 15, allows nonessential procedures to be postponed in hospitals in order to increase hospital capacity,” according to The Hill.

So, a politician who knows nothing about medicine and illnesses, is deeming what is essential and what is not, over a variant that hasn’t even hit the US yet.

After experiencing the level of deceit and gaslighting throughout the COVID pandemic, it’s difficult to take Democrats seriously anymore. They lie too easily and too often that we don’t know what to believe.

Hochul is also imploring New Yorkers to “use the tools that we know help prevent the spread of this deadly virus,” which she listed as wearing a mask indoors, washing hands, and getting vaccinated.

Didn’t New York just fire thousands of nurses and other medical personnel? Why is no one talking about that?

Meanwhile, the Danish Study, among others, has shown that masks do nothing to stop the spread of COVID with a 0.3% difference between masked and unmasked people in the study.

According to the NY Times while performing a random act of journalism:

About 4,860 participants completed the study. The researchers had hoped that masks would cut the infection rate by half among wearers. Instead, 42 people in the mask group, or 1.8 percent, got infected, compared with 53 in the unmasked group, or 2.1 percent. The difference was not statistically significant.

“Our study gives an indication of how much you gain from wearing a mask,” said Dr. Henning Bundgaard, lead author of the study and a cardiologist at the University of Copenhagen. “Not a lot.”

Dr. Mette Kalager, a researcher at Telemark Hospital in Norway and the Harvard School of Public Health, was persuaded. The study showed that “although there might be a symbolic effect,” she wrote in an email, “the effect of wearing a mask does not substantially reduce risk” for wearers.

Hochul has jumped the gun with her executive action because the fact of the matter is that New York has not recorded any cases of the Omicron variant.

According to New York state’s own website:

For samples of SARS-CoV-2 collected between November 7 and November 20, 2021 from New York State that are sequenced and entered into Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza Data (GISAID), 100% were the Delta variant, compared to 99.2% in the previous two-week period.

Between November 14 and November 20, CDC’s program for HHS Region 2 (New York, New Jersey, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico) estimated 100% of samples were the Delta variant, compared to 100% in the previous one-week period.

The US will restrict travel for non-US citizens from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique and Malawi as a response to the new variant.

I thought travel bans were racist? When former President Donald Trump did a travel ban from the 6 countries that the Obama-Biden administration deemed most likely to have ISIS operatives join groups of refugees coming into our country, the Left lost their minds and falsely reported it was a Muslim ban. Well, isn’t this an African ban? Some consistency would be nice.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization has already admitted that it skipped naming the new variant “Xi” to avoid “stigma” to anyone who may be named that showing once again that the globalist organization is willing to kiss the rear end of the Communist Chinese Party leader even though we now know that the COVID virus was released from a lab in Wuhan, China.
