Newsmax Being Dropped From Multiple Cable Carriers – A Marxist Purge?

Newsmax, the conservative cable news network, starting December 31, has been very quietly pulled off pay-TV cable operators like Atlantic Broadband, Central Pennsylvania’s Blue Ridge Communications, Cincinnati Bell, and Hargray Communications.

Just as One America News Network (OAN) has had to deal with being canceled, Newsmax has met with problems that they attribute to censorship of conservative voices.

Newsmax said in a statement, “Despite our high ratings with personalities like Greg Kelly, Eric Bolling, Sean Spicer, Lyndsay Keith, Dick Morris, Alan Dershowitz, and more — it is clear that Blue Ridge doesn’t like Newsmax’s point of view.”

Newsmax is in better shape for this than One America News. OAN still has Verizon FiOS as a major carrier left while Newsmax is still on the base tiers of DirecTV Stream, Direct TV, the Dish Network, and Sling TV.

Atlantic Broadband said in a statement, “While we worked in good faith to negotiate a new agreement, Newsmax insisted on unreasonable terms and conditions that would have resulted in increased TV fees for all Atlantic Broadband customers even though Newsmax is available for free for other viewers… This is unfair to Atlantic Broadband customers, including those who enjoy the channel. Because we could not reach a new agreement, the channel is no longer offered on our lineup.”

I would love to get a copy of those negotiations.

What’s going on here is a purge of conservative voices. This is no different from other cable news networks like CNN and MSNBC spreading lies about many conservative issues like the 2020 election results, ivermectin, vaccine mandates, attacking OAN, Newsmax, Fox News and more and demanding they be deplatformed. CNN’s coffee boy Brian Stelter and his coffee boy Oliver Darcy have been actively trying to get Fox News shut down. Can you imagine they go on the air live and accuse Fox News of spreading falsehoods when CNN is the king of lies?

It’s also no different from social media tech tyrants censoring conservative speech that they disagree with and calling it misinformation. It’s the silencing of opposition voices, exactly what Marxists have done since that evil ideology was invented.

These conservative networks are more than likely being attacked because they support the Constitution and, more importantly, they supported Donald Trump.

We live in an age where radical leftists declare that if you say or think about something that they disagree with, they accuse you of spreading “misinformation” and they have created a narrative that misinformation should be a Class A felony assault on their sensibilities.

Common sense dictates that if someone said something they believed to be true, and it turned out to be false, that’s not an intentional act to deceive people. It’s called making a mistake. That’s what discussion and debate are for. But the leftists have demonized the term misinformation to mean an intentional act of deceiving people. And in all cases, whether the information is true or false, they will still label it misinformation because they don’t agree with it and they don’t want an opposition voice to be heard. You cannot have a normal functioning society with people who think that way.
