On his first day of retirement from the military, Lt Colonel Alexander Vindman, one of the key impeachment trial witnesses against President Donald Trump, said in a Washington Post op-ed Saturday that coming out against President Trump cost him his career, and that he believes “right matters.”
It’s just a shame that what he did wasn’t right. His actions before and during the phony impeachment proceedings could have ended him up in a court martial. The whole impeachment farce was a political projection of what Joe Biden, as Obama’s vice president, actually did during the Obama administration. He threatened to withhold $1 billion of US aid unless then president Poroshenko fired their prosecutor general, who happened to be investigating Biden’s son Hunter Biden and the company where he sat on the board, Burisma Holdings, Inc.
“When I was asked why I had the confidence to tell my father not to worry about my testimony, my response was, ‘Congressman, because this is America,” he testified.
“This is the country I served and defended, that all my brothers have served, and here, right matters.”
He added, “To this day, despite everything that has happened, I continue to believe that in America, right matters. I want to help ensure that right matters for all Americans.”
Vindman testified in November that he had listened in on Trump’s July 25, 2019 call with Ukraine’s leader — in which the president leaned on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to start an investigation against former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter — and was convinced the president abused his power for personal political gain.
We now know the entire thing was bogus, because there already had been an investigation into Biden’s abuse of power while serving as vice president. That investigation was stopped by political pressure, and Trump just wanted to know what was going on. Don’t forget, the Trump campaign was spied on by the Obama administration, and evidence points to Joe Biden as being involved. For example, it was Biden, who told ABC’s George Stephanpolis, that he knew nothing about the false charges levied against Trump’s in-coming national security adviser Lt. General Mike Flynn, and we recently found out through declassified documents that Biden was in the White House meeting on what to do with Flynn, and the vice president was the one who suggested they use the Logan Act against Flynn.
In the end, the only one who gave sound testimony during the impeachment hearings was Ambassador Gordon Sondland whose testimony was actually exculpatory information that made it clear that Trump did absolutely nothing wrong. The radical leftist Democrats impeached him anyway.
After finally realizing his career was over for participating in the second attempted government coup in our nations’s history, which in reality was used to cover up the first attempted government coup where the Obama administration spied on a presidential campaign of the opposing party, Vindman decided to end his Army career, by blaming bullying, intimidation and retaliation by Trump and his allies.
In reality, Vindman was helping the deep state try to get rid of an innocent president. From the phony whistleblower to crazy eyes Adam Schiff (D-CA) breaking rules and laws, and running the biggest sham impeachment process in our country’s history, Vindman went along with the cabal.
Vindman’s argument of doing what’s right could be compared to the gall that fired and disgraced former FBI director James Comey had when he titled his book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.”
