Republican senators who voted to convict former President Donald Trump on Saturday during the Senate impeachment trial where Democrats the president incited an insurrection are already facing a lot of heat in their home states. And for good reason, because Donald Trump did not incite an insurrection. There is no evidence that he did. In fact, to the contrary, there is plenty of evidence that the Democrats were warned days prior to the January 6 riot that there were plans being made to start violence at the Capitol, evidence that shows Trump had nothing to do with it. Yet these RINO Trump-hating cowards who want to be loved by the Democrats and their boot-licking sycophants in the mainstream news media voted to convict an innocent man.
The seven barely Republican senators who joined with all of the Senate Democrats in voting to convict Trump were: Senators Richard Burr (R-NC), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Ben Sasse (R-NE), and Pat Toomey (R-PA). All disgraceful people who either don’t understand the Constitution or are too stupid to follow the evidence, wanting to join the Woke Supremacy instead.
Two of the bunch are retiring but the rest need to be voluntarily retired by being primaried out.
Cassidy on Saturday faced a unanimous vote by the Louisiana Republican Party for censure because of the way he voted.
“Our Constitution and our country is more important than any one person. I voted to convict President Trump because he is guilty,” Cassidy said on Twitter Saturday night.

And now the people of Louisiana are going to vote him out of office because he’s too stupid to represent them. Trump did not incite the riot. The FBI warned two days ahead of the riot that people were planning on social media to cause violence and Nancy Pelosi told her Sgt at Arms to refuse any help. President Trump offered 10,000 National Guard troops multiple times and the sergeant at arms turned him down every time.
Toomey was also criticized by the Pennsylvania GOP Saturday night.
“This post-presidency impeachment proceeding was an unconstitutional theft of time and energy that did absolutely nothing to unify or help the American people,” PAGOP Chairman Lawrence Tabas said in a prepared statement. “I share the disappointment of many of our grassroots leaders and volunteers over Senator Toomey’s vote today. The vote to acquit was the constitutionally correct outcome.”

Toomey revealed back in October that he’s not running for re-election in 2022. He’s my senator and I say good riddance. When Pat Toomey was first elected to the Senate everybody thought he was going to be this staunch conservative Republican. It turns out he’s been nothing more than an establishment RINO who wants to be loved by the Left as much as the other establishment RINOs and too stupid to learn that though they used him from time to time when he went against the GOP, they despise him as much as the rest of us.
Burr’s vote to convict came as a surprise by many in the GOP. The North Carolina senator also said he’s not going to run for re-election in 2022.
In a statement, NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley said, “North Carolina Republicans sent Senator Burr to the United States Senate to uphold the Constitution and his vote today to convict in a trial that he declared unconstitutional is shocking and disappointing.”
This isn’t the first time Ben Sasse faced criticisms from Nebraska Republicans over his criticisms of Donald Trump. At least three counties of Republicans in the state have voted to censure Sasse, according to the Omaha World-Herald. Next month when the Republican central committee meets they plan to consider at least eight different resolutions to censure the senator.
“You are welcome to censure me again,” Sasse said earlier this month in a video, “but let’s be clear about why this is happening. It’s because I still believe, as you used to, that politics isn’t about the weird worship of one dude.” I would say to Sasse that politics is about the art of the possible while adhering to the Constitution and not the weird hatred for one dude. What an idiot.
